Best place/time for autographs?

My friend and I are going to the Caps game tomorrow for his birthday. I have never gotten an autograph from players but would like to try tomorrow. Does any one know where and when would be the most conducive for getting an auto?

My friend is a huge Ovechkin fan and we have the latest issue of THN with him on the cover that would be amazing if he could sign.

I have club seats, so i can get into MSG up to two hours in advance if that helps..

i am quite tired from studying and finals, so this post might not be too readable.

but thanks in advance..

The lounge right by the escalator is always a good place to grab them.

Best odds are before the game, afterwards they're either tired or emotional because of the game.

Unfortunatly it's 90% timing.

haha, very nice. this dude with his friend, will be in section 125, quite satisfied in his location except for when people walk in front of him, and get in the way!

Find the "Green Room" (by Section 104 i THINK, out by the consession stands but facing out towards the street)- probably the lounge hes talking about... but thats mostly for Ranger players... Ive hung out their with Colton Orr (his father in law knows my Brother) a few times (cool guy) and seen pretty much every player and their families. Really awesome experience- you have to be on a list to get in obviously... but sometimes a half hour to an hour after the game the guys will come out and leave via the escalator or stairs...

Yeah, I was going to try and give directions before I realized I might get my arena's mixed up and send the poor guy to the wrong area.

After the game most of the guys come out of the employees entrance if they don't have to catch a flight or bus to the next city immediately. I finally got Jed to sign my Jed jersey last night! He was great, signing autographs, taking pictures and answer stupid questions from people - one girl asked what is like to tip cows in Nebraska. He said he never had ...
