Namestnikov vs. Kucherov vs. Panik

Another one where I'm trying to get other opinions.

I can't really make out if anyone of these guys is further ahead than the other.

How would you rank them?

In my opinion

1. Kucherov
2. Panik
3. Namestnikov

1. Namestnikov(the surest, safest pick of the 3)

2. Panik(crazy skill but consistency issues)

3. Kucherov(boom or bust. Either a top-6 scorer or an undersized, light depth scoring winger)

Not even close to Kucherovs ceiling, he def has first line potential (ppg even) not just a top 6 forward, but he has a large bust possibility as well IMO.

Btw Kucherov has the highest offensive potential IMO out of the three.

I hope he stays in Russia for a while and develops well.

I REALLY like Kucherov´s game from what I have watched of him. I think that he has high-end, elite level potential. He reminds me of Marty Straka.

I´d rank him ahead of Namestnikov. But I do like Namestnikov´s character better. That might make the difference in the long run.

I wish I could say more about Panik, but I just have not seen him enough.

dont know anything about panik but i would choose kucherov over namestnikov if it were not for his health. the kid is literally made of glass. one injury follows another and there is no end to it

Panik has elite skills, very similar to Marian Hossa, his attitude's not the best though, plays good when he wants to

I'd take Kucherov of the 3. 1st round talent that dropped in the draft due to being Russian and still playing in Russia. Obviously there's the risk he just stays in Russia, but I think he's one of those Russian players that can come over in another year or two and stick in the NHL right away, so a much lower flight risk.

I've only seen Namestinkov very limitedly, so can't really say.

I really don't like Panik. People keep saying he's really skilled, but in my opinion he's got "decent" skills and terrible inconsistency. All-World skills like Hossa? Uhm, no, I'd say he's more like a lesser Antropov. If Panik became more than a disappointment at the Pro level, I'd be surprised. But I'm sure he'll likely end up in the KHL/Extraliga/SEL.

Where is this inconsistency on Panik coming from? I would like to hear why would you think that. He joined the stacked Norfolk squad and until the new year he either didn't play or played on the 4th line. Then when he got the opportunity he kept on producing.

The issues arose in Major-Junior. When he found out he could simply dominate the other players he seemed to not care as much as it wasn't a challenge. The idea was later reinforced when he went to the WJC and played like a freak.

When he arrived in Norfolk he started out on the fourth line of a stacked team and from what I've heard didn't seem happy but Jon Cooper lit a fire under him somehow and he took off ever since, steadily rising up the depth chart.

He's an amazing player so long as you keep him interested and driving.
