Not sure if he wants to come back to the NHL. But I could see someone offering him a cheap 1 yr deal as a backup. Something like that is one of those low risk signings. If it doesn't work, didn't cost anything. If it does work, then it didn't cost them anything, and they received a great backup.
But if the promising backups get taken, I can see someone giving Huet a shot.
Loved watching him play in mtl and would like him back there too. Budaj isn't that bad but it's hard to get in a groove playing as little as he did and don't forget the terrible team in front of him this year.
I think Huet is better than given credit for. The only reason he was sent overseas was his abortion of a contract, much like Redden being in the AHL. They are NHL caliber players who's cap hits have pushed them out of the league.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Huet sign on as an NHL backup next season.
