Of course you do. That's why we should boo every great player who isn't on our own team, simply because they aren't on our team. Makes perfect sense.

Oh I'm sorry. When the Pens come into town, we should chant Crosby! Crosby! Instead.

We were chanting that for game 1, along with the Ovechkin countdown.

How was the OV chant coordinated? I was impressed that so many people seemed to catch on so quickly.

Hypothetically if we were to advance and the Flyers were to advance, and this countdown chant continues, who would we be counting down for on the Flyers team?

Briere is #48 so that would be a no-go.
Giroux is #28 so that would also be a no-go.
Hartnell is #19 but that seems like its too early in the period for such a chant to happen.

Looks like the chant ends this series, unless the Devils advance and Kovalchuk or Parise gets the countdown chant.

If we play the Flyers, a "you can't beat us" chant is a must.

Why not just something simple like

"Kill...Kill...Kill...Kill"

That would certainly be intimidating

How about tonight, instead of chanting things about Ovechkin, Alfie, Holtby, Crosby, Bettman, Potvin, etc., we chant something that has to do with our own players?

I think this would be much classier and it's something that I liked about the Ottawa countdown as it was for their own player and captain.

I still think that every single time the opposition scores a goal, from now on till the end of the playoffs, the garden should loudly chant "It don't ma-tter!"

In my opinion, it totally would wash out the other team's momentum.

I understand that after a goal is scored against us most people don't feel like cheering. But I still think mentally it would be a powerful statement if we did it...

well, I hated when in game 1 there was a chant "Ovi, Ovi".. wasn't chant on Caps players supposed to be negative?? I do not know which brainfart came with that. "Ovi sucks" was right on the money.

We already "chant" for our guys when we cheer (let's go rangers)

We can get in the other team's head
