Huge opportunity tonight. One win is fantastic, but we know this is a Blues team that is capable of winning four straight, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. I think the Blues did that last game, almost expecting a win, and when things didn't go their way, they started to crack. Would love to see them continue that trend. Go Kings!!
No offense to the blues...but I was WAY more scared of the Canucks when they had both Sedins...they seem MUCH more capable of completely taking over the game and not letting you have anything.
Not sure I agree with this. The blues forecheck is a lot stronger and they are very very deep. I am as concerned with their fourht line as I am their 2nd.
I am more scared of the blues ability ot grind out wins, and shut down team's offense than I was Vancouver.
After the first 5 minutes of the game I was thinking, oh boy this St. Louis team looks a lot stronger than Vancouver. Than again we sucked to start game 1.
i didn't think they were that bad tbh. Nothing compared to listening to the CBC guys during the Vancouver series.
No one can replace Bob though. (Except for Nick Nixon. I wish the radio feed would be, for once, behind the tv feed so I could synch them up.)
The TSN coverage of Kings/Blues managed to land Chris Cuthbert, the BEST announcer in Canadian sports. If there's someone other than Bob and Jim to listen to, its this guy and whoever he carries on his back. Just a delight to listen to.
Nope. We'll still have the NBC broadcast.... and it gets better! Brian Hayward is joining the broadcast!!!! Clearly
NBC loves Kings fans!!
I've actually thought that Brian Hayward has been very easy to listen to on the NBC broadcasts this playoff season that he has been on. I can't believe I'm saying that because in general I absolutely loath the man.
I think his insane bias towards the Ducks is what makes him such an awful guy to listen to. We'll see tonight, I guess, if that bias creeps back in with his comments on the Kings.
When Hayward was doing the Ranger games, he was pretty good with his analysis & very neutral. I don't see why it would be any different this series. Maybe he can be the voice of reason. How ironic would that be?
Seems like the Blues media writers are the only ones talking up the "hit". Hopefully they will let it go once Alex is skating in warmups tonight.
Wait, so he's not dead? I was led to believe by St. Louis writers that he suffered a complete liquidation of his central nervous system due to a brutal broadaxe attack from behind by Dwight King the Barbarian. I, for one, hail our new zombie overlord Alex Pietrangelo.
Seriously, though, glad the kid is okay. What an unfortunate play that was all around.
Very excited for tonight's game! Going to be listening at work, and I'm sure I'll be scaring the bejesus out of my coworkers when I yell. GKG!
