No kidding. I'm not blaming the 49ers for doing it, but the kid was passed up by the team he wanted to draft him. That's why he's upset.

Goff to Washington. I like his potential, just couldn't stay healthy

I like the Coples pick but I LOVE the Stephen Hill pick. That was excellent value. I think Demarrio Davis has a chance to become a great player too.

I love the Osweiler pick the more I think about it. Worst case, he's a wasted second round pick and they move on. Best case, he's an elite replacement for Manning in four years.

There wasn't anyone in that part of the second round that would have helped the Broncos immediately anyway.

Yes, he was a one year starter, but he just happened to throw for 4,000 yards in that one season.

Loved this pick for the Broncos. Definitely the spot and the player to pick for the situation they are in. He'll get mentored by 2 of the best QBs ever.

Exactly. Any flaws in his game should be ironed out. He can make every NFL throw and has the physical tools to be great.

The more I read about the Randle pick, the more I like it. Seems like he slipped pretty far due to no fault of his own, and he reminds many commentators of Hakeem Nicks.

Yeah, the Giants got a steal with Randle. He was a guy that many people had going in the late first.

Kiper says Randle lacks "explosiveness". Pretty sure they said the same thing about Nicks.

Kiper says a lot of things. I'd be more worried if he loved the pick.

from watching randle play, lacking explosiveness is sorta right. he's not very quick off the line but he can beat anyone deep. and he rarely drops passes

I don't mind it as an outside observer. I'm always curious to how teams decide to draft based on talent versus need. If they had a 2nd round grade on Cousins, they're probably hoping to develop him a la Matt Schaub/Atlanta or Matt Hasselbeck/Green Bay. If he is decent within a couple years, they can try to spin him for a better pick which would help since they won't have their 1sts in 2013 or 2014. And it's a 4th round pick, it wasn't like they traded their #2 next year to get Cousins.

Favre back in the news......has to testify regarding the sexting incidents

Quote:
The retired quarterback will appear in a Manhattan court to testify about text messages sent to two massage therapists who worked with the Jets during Favre's season in New York.

In one of the alleged texts, Favre seems to suggest a three-way get-together with the therapists.

"Brett here. You and Crissy want to get together? I'm all alone. Kinda lonely tonight. I guess I have bad intentions."
