Is there a back story as to why he's still there? Has he been the anthem singer for a long period of time, and people just want him to stick around?

Might this be the worst post in HF history???

haha, what an epic raising of the toupee it would be. Wires literally lifting it off his head right beside Leetch's banner.

What good is even discussing it. If your watching on NBC you'll never hear him sing. It more important to squeeze in more commercials. Even MSG has not shown that many anthems. Wouldn't we all miss 2 min. of Milbury if they squeeze in those commercials between periods. What was everyone saying during 911. Don't ever forget. money means more than anything.

He's similar to where he sings...

The building itself isn't all that spectacular, it's the history/nostalgia behind it that makes it great

Amirante is 76 years old. He's been singing at the Garden since around 1980. He's a staple of MSG and the fans still love him. When he was still younger he was fantastic.

I believe he's also a wedding singer or at least he used to be one. My father told me that he was the singer at my cousin's wedding 10 or so years ago.

Have you seen him up close recently? He looks terrible. I'm shocked he's not in his 80s.

I love the guy and hope he sings every time as long as he can... but he hasnt been looking well lately... actually he hasnt been looking well for a long while now.
