We owned the Rangers this year

If you project the point total for the habs by looking at how they have done against their remaining oppositions left in the season, it looks like this:

For example, Montreal has 1 point in 2 games against pit. They 2 more games against pit other so that's a projection of the habs picking up 1 point out the 2 games left

Using the opposition method, here's how many points the habs will get against their remaining teams:

Pit: 1 point

Wash: 0 points

NYI: 4 points

Tor: 2 points

Bos: 5 points

Ott: 2 points

NJ: 0 points

Buf: 3 points

That's a total of 17 points

71pts + 17pts = 88 pts

New Jersey schedule:

Ott: 2 points

Phi: 2 points

Atl: 0 point

Bos: 2 points

Tor: 0 points

Buf: 1 point

Pit: 2 points

Mtl: 4 points

NYR: 1 point

Car: 1 point

= 15pts 76 +15 = 91pts

Tampa Bay Schedule:

PHI: 2 points

NYI: 2 points

FLA: 3 points

WAS: 3 points

NYR: 1 point

Car: 5 points

Atl: 4 points

Pit: 2 points

= 22pts + 72 = 94pts

Atlanta Schedule

Phi: 1 point

Buf: 1 point

Bos: 0 points

NJ: 2 points

NYI: 1 point

TB: 2 points

Car: 1 point

Ott: 1 point

FLA: 3 points

Was: 3 points

= 15 pts + 70pts = 85 pts

As you can see, Tampa owns the teams they have left to play. If this holds up, the lightning will go on a torrid pace. Of course, there's the Grahame factor too. Montreal, although facing a seemingly easy sced, have struggled against some of the lesser teams.

So with this projection:

6) TB 94 pts

7) NJ 91pts

8) MTL 88pts

9) ATL 85pts
