I was a little surprised that folks don't recognize how you win the Stanley Cup. Ice hockey is a war and to win you have to be a warrior, especially when you are not a super offensive team.
You tolerate nothing from the other team and you beat them senseless. Every time they get tough, you pound them back. Dustin Penner showed what it looks like. You get hit perfectly legally? You beat the **** out of the guy who did it to you.
If he doesn't want to get beat he should not have gotten anywhere near you.
We want our team to win the cup? The Kings have some big players and they need to be bigger. Even Anze was being big and tough.
Back in the 93 playoffs the Kings scored a bunch of SH'ed goals, Taylor Kurri and Sandstrom I think. This playoffs feels like we are exercising our collective demons with this team. Great win tonite, StL has no idea what to do out there and I think the Kings are in their heads.

I'm a big flames fan and as soon as you guys got that lead I knew Sutter would lock down the defensive game, reminds me of his days as the bench boss of the flames. You guys got a good coach and good team.

There's reason for it.The penalty parade could have got the Blues pp going and even won the game for them tonight, just like what happened in our series with Vancouver.The Blues pp got them back into the series with SJ and helped win it. Killing 9 penalties is asking way too much for the defense.
