Kings all the way. If the Flyers get eliminated before the SCF I'm rooting for LA anyway.

I don't know why so many rival fans (I'm looking at you, Pittsburgh) think Philly would be put on suicde watch if the Kings win the Cup.

Big ****ing deal, they accomplished that feat in every single of the last 3 years.

This is an excellent answer! I'll go for this. It would be great to see the home fans always disappointed. It would even be better if the home team never led in a game so that the home fans experience no joy during the games.

I don't like any of the two teams, but I'd be happier if the Rangers won.

My fear is that if the Kings win everyone will chastize the Flyers for trading Richards and Carter. I don't want to hear that.

would root for the Rags, I don't dislike the rangers as much as the other division teams, henrik lundqvist is the most likable goalie in the division outside of Bryz. Plus it would most likely mean we lost to the cup champs and would solidify how tough this division is, being the best in hockey IMO.

Root for the second coming of the Spanish Influenza or an unexpected player strike to cancel the Cup.

Easily Kings, I actually hope they win it either this year or next so Gags can get a cup. PHI - LAK finals would tear me apart like no tomorrow though.

Who cares if people say Homer's moves bit him in the ass? If it's Kings-Rags I'm 100% rooting for the Kings. Hell, if the Flyers are out I want the Kings to win the Cup. Even though Carter is a choke artist, it's not like he was an ass*ole while he was here. I love Richie, Carter and Gagne, and would love seeing them win it (if the Flyers are no longer in).

Damn, the Kings are looking good. Seeing them in the SCF might not be a pipe dream after all...

Screw the little blue smurfs, I'd even root for the smug-assed Red Wings before I' root for the rags.

Sorry but that is how a "hated" rivalry is suppose to go.

Good point, but we have an easy response to that: because of those trades, our window of opportunity will be open for a decade or more.

The kids are getting it done!

If the Flyers do not win the cup, it's not because of the trades. The main reason for me would be: missing big defencive peices at the most critical time of the year and (yet again) big question mark between the pipes.

I would be happy for Gagne and Richards if the Kings take it all

Im rooting for all the former Flyers out west. I would love to see the Kings win IF the Flyers get knocked out before the final. A Phi-LA final would be awesome.

Poor Gagne, they'd have to petition the league to get his name on the cup since he only played 34 games.

dont like this question, I am a philly fan.

Know what that means? It means if Philly gets bounced, the TV gets turned off and no team gets rooted for or cared about in the least.

If they can get savard on the cup then they can get gags aswell. Both had season ending concussions, but were full time NHLers before the injury.

This.

Even if the Kings win the cup, I wouldn't take back either of the trades.

Maybe it is just me but I am enjoying this years Flyers team more than any of the teams during the Richards/Carter era.

I'd definitely root for the Kings. Not just for the former Flyers, but guys like Brown and Kopitar are fun to watch as well. Much rather see them lift the cup than say Dubinsky or Prust. If they do reach the final, I hope Gagné somehow miraculously can return.

How about no. Mark my words:

LAK over STL in 5
PHX over NAS in 7

WAS over NYR in 7
PHI over NJ in 5
-------------------------
LAK over PHX in 6
PHI over WAS in 5
-------------------------
PHI over LAK in 4

I'd be afraid of how motivated Carter and Richards would be in a Cup finals against the Flyers.

Cognitive dissonance convinces many of us of this, but really think back to the 2010 run...Gagne scoring to go up 4-3 in Game 7 against Boston, Richie scoring on Halak on that pure heart play...that was my favorite Flyer team.

Having said that, I love this team and love the trades, but just because Homer made a couple moves doesn't erase my fond memories of the Richards era.
