Brodin in the first line today with 4 Brynäs players.

Pairing with Ekholm.
Larsson, Järnkrok and Silfverberg up front.

Brodin played good in the first and only powerplay so far.
He actually went to the net wanting a pass. A USA d blocked the pass tho otherwise Brodin cud have scored.

Almost never seen him do that before.

Brodin playing way more active than you might expect, just like he did at the WJC.

He seems really hesitant to pinch.

I think there just was some discussion on Brodin (and Larsson too, for that matter) on the intermission. Couldn't tell what they were saying, though.

I saw that too - showed JB peeling around the net under pressure and making a subtle drop pass to his partner to defuse the situation.

By virtue of the other Swedish d-men getting lit up by the USA I like Brodin's chances to make the team.

Brodin so smart, always makes the perfect breakout/defensive play, can't believe how simple he makes it look.

Awesome, I love seeing him attempting to add an offensive dimension to his game.

GOAL!! Larsson.

He was out there on a 4 on 3.

Silfverberg made the play, Larsson with a tap in pretty much.

I like it how calm Brodin looks with the puck.

Wow! His skating is amazing! It's so good, I don't think I've seen him get beat as the forwards skate with the puck down the ice

Give-away by Brodin behind the net as two Americans were fore-checking him. Nothing came out of it, though.

These are still pre-lim games right? When do the real ones start and does anyone have the NBCSN schedule for them?

Probably the biggest error i've seen him make the last 3 years.
Good thing it happens now and not in the WC if he gets the chance.
He'll defo learn from it aswell.

Yes, the real tourney starts Friday. And here's a schedule of games.

Should someone already make a thread for the WC here? Even now there's discussion on two separate threads (albeit pretty strictly prospect related).

Larsson was good. I'm pretty sure he makes the team. And probably Brodin too, at least as a seventh D-man.

I think Brodin makes it, he was the best d-man imo.

Larsson is a tossup.

The main problem with the Larsson line is once they lost the puck they couldn't get it back.

Once they had the puck they were one of the better lines.
