Canucks fan here.

Last year I gained a lot of respect for the Nashville franchise. While the Preds played hard against my team, they remained a classy bunch.... as did the fans. (More than I can say for Luongo and Kesler's typical antics, and the "fan" rioting that occured.)

This move - while perhaps not the best way to win a series - certainly shows that the team is sticking to the values and morals which have helped it be one of the most team-oriented franchises in the league.

Again - while perhaps not the best way to win hockey games, I give huge props to the management for sticking to their guns.

Staying out, partying and drinking past team curfew, the night before a road playoff game doesn't seem bad to you? Your prerogative of course.

Radulov and AKostitsyn were spotted in Scottsdale at 4am on the eve of Game 2. Suspended for Game 3 by club.
Good on management for walking the walk.

Just wondering why if they were drinking the night before game 2 they're suspended for game 3 and not game 2...

Not saying it they aren't necessarily true but those are nothing but rumors at this point and it's not a good idea to jump to conclusions based on them.

Maybe management just got wind of it?

Depends on when the facts came to light ... when they were confirmed ... if the NHLPA got a say since we termed it a suspension rather than simply scratching the two players for a game ...

Agreed but at the same time, if it there is any truth to it it explains a lot: Their benching for the next game but more importantly, their, less than lackluster play, in game two.

yotes fan coming in peace. I've only seen Radulov play twice this year (G 1&2), but I was curious as to your thoughts on him. He seems to be a little lazy and sort of plays when it's convenient for him. Is that accurate? I think Kostitsyn is a bigger loss for you guys thus far through 2 games. It's a shame when some players are selfish and seem not to give a damn, I feel bad for you guys having to experience that with these two.

Here's to a good game 3

Habs fan on the Predators bandwagon here.

Trotz should just tell Radulov to pack it up and go home. Dude's a sponge trying reap the benefits of the hard work put in by all the guys who stuck it out through thick and thin.

He looked really good in a few games in the Detroit series (specifically game 5) and really good for pretty much all of the games he played at the end of the regular season. Game 1 in this series he looked average, game 2 he looked hungover.

Radulov has actually been excellent most of the time he's been back. His downward trend only started recently. Not sure what the reason is.

With any luck, perhaps this suspension turns out to be the best thing for him. Perhaps it's a wakeup call that makes him realize that if he continues, he's going to piss away a possibly promising NHL career.

If not, then he'll either go back to Russia or we'll move him and life can go on.

I think last call is at 2, but Scottsdale is crazy and probably didn't adhere to that.
