Come on people, nobody wanted Penner back especially his wife. If the Kings would have missed the playoffs Penner would have been blasted all summer long. This is why I don't blast players but the coaching and how players are being used. My #1 complaint with this team has always been the defenseman not activating. NHL teams are to good not to use all 5 players to try to score.

He would have only been blasted till July 1st and if course he was blasted, he didnt do **** during the regular season. Now everybody is back peddling on hom (including myself) because he's showing that Dustin Penner everyone wanted from the beginning. He's playing aggressive, he's getting under the opposing teams skin, he's passing, he's scoring, he's fighting...he's a hockey player again...finally!! He's showing that passion for the game again...i can honestly say ive never seen him play like this before in a kings uniform and i like it.

Nice to see the Kings crush the Blues, Halak isn't coming back so get in Elliott's head and go up 3 games to none.

Go Kings Go!

Agreed. The fans here seemed a lot more "rah rah" before game 3 of the Vancouver series than they do this round. Don't take anything for granted you guys, the team needs you just as much as they need each other on Thursday!

I'm skipping a wedding rehearsal to go the game (I'm a crap groomsman lol), you bet your ass I'll be loud. Lost my voice for almost a week after the Canucks games, plan to lose it again this time.

No reason to mess with anything. Tough break for Clifford but he is 20 and has a long career ahead of him. But DS can't mess with anything, all 4 lines are playing tremendous.

- I thought King had a strong game last night, as did his entire line.

- On Penner and Stoll. Yes they had awful seasons and are suddenly playing better, great for them and the team. Might there be some financial motivation? Yes, but who cares. If these guys help us make a deep run and some teams offer them contracts similar to what they had, you say thanks for stepping up when it mattered and good luck for your new teams. As Penner and Stoll continue to play so well in the playoffs their regular seasons become a memory. I have been critical of both but hats off to them, I'd rather have guys who step up in May than guys who look like all-stars in October then stop caring like Captain Puke.

-Dustin Brown has raised his game to such an insane level and it's great to see. I always liked him as a player but I had doubts if he would ever be this good, but he is playing like a superstar right now, in all 3 zones and in all situations. Wish he was on the #1 PP unit but that's a debate for another time.

- Said a bunch of times we need Richards to step up and play like he has in the past. That goal was enormous. The arena went from jumping to absolutely silent, so much so they had to pipe in a "Let's Go Blues" chant but you could tell they knew they were in for a long night.

Well I am on my phone and this sucks. I have more to say about being at the game and will post later. Let's just say the whining and excuses didnt stop on these boards. Petro is a great player but my god you would have thought they lost half their team.

Why are the Kings not playing until Thursday? Lakers are playing tonight and the clippers are on the road.

Bride will be pissed off, but whatever. Groom should have delayed until after the Stanley Cup was won.

That was the only thing I asked for. Wedding date must be after the Stanley Cup is won because the Kings have a shot this year. I got the date I needed. Kings win the Stanley Cup and I get a Stanley Cup cake in addition to wedding cake too.

Go Kings Go!

All I have to say is... The Staples Center crew is working overtime this postseason to make sure the venue is ready to play and they're doing a great job of making sure its good to go

I too am very happy with their collective resurgence as I'm sure most Kings fans are. The problem with this logic is the Kings barely scraped their way into these playoffs, in large part to the lack of production from these 2 players. I'm willing to give Stoll much more of a pass because his linemates last year are Kopitar's now and I think that can definitely be attributed to his production or lack there of. Penner I cannot abide even at a discounted price, the money is better spent elsewhere.
