Speaking of imports who had kids who play hockey, anyone have any clue if Brendan or Brett Perlini have any interest in playing for Great Britain?

There's a kid in the WHL and his name is Tye Hand. First time I saw him you have no idea how badly I wanted to see he was British

Edit: Craig Peacocks father was also a Canadian who played in England.

I think it's unlikely, Brett never played for the U18's or U20's so that might say something. Since Brendan was an early pick in the OHL draft he must be a highly regarded prospect, so he may wish to keep his Canadian eligibility for the future.

I can't see many college players leaving school to play div 1 or 2 in U18's or U20s. I wish Scott Conway played in the U18s this year, maybe he's close enough with his cousins that he could talk them into playing for GB

Would very much like Joe back in Bees colours but him to Bison sounds a done deal.

Sullivan and Bronniman would be very welcome at the Hive.

I'm glad Ryan got his shot at Elite, hopefully he won't do any naked skating at Braehead lol

The happiest days of their lives.

Lol I know a ref who while doing a game has had his tyres slashed, and has had had his car crashed into by a joyrider in the car park. Guess where those incidents happened?

Edit: David Phillips signs for Belfast

Phillips was dire for Coventry last season, he'll have to be a lot better for Belfast.

Dan Wood is going back to Sheffield after playing College hockey (NCAA III). If he found a college team, no reason Jack Prince shouldn't.

This will be my 2,000th post on HFBoards so I think it's only fitting that it should be in here, where I have amassed over 400 posts in the two threads combined so I'd like to thank all the regulars in here for helping me achieve this

Sorry, but i am the British HF daddy. 6.8k posts. 8 years. 23 infractions.

In all seriousness, you basically are the British hockey board. Alas, that spirit will be broken, and the descent into trolling will inevitably begin.

I tend to stay away from the main board, and I've only ever ventured into the trade proposals thread a couple of times The Rangers board is painful to read at times too, I post mostly in the lounge and entertainment forums, occasionally the rink section. I came here for the hockey, stayed for the lulz

The only troll we've ever had in here was the guy who called us "Redcoats" and we soon saw him away, he's currently trolling the vegan/vegetarian thread in the lounge and they're feeding him

Even though in real life, i would consider myself more Brains than Brawn, for the purposes of this thread, roles change.

You're the brains, the one who can name the assistant coaches in Bracknell, or name the mum of Steve from the U-18 Swindon team. I'm the brawn, the guy who trolls you so hard, it will hurt.

Redcoats. Ha, what an utterly inept insult. The only British stereotype that truely annoys me is the idea that we all drink tea. I hate Tea.

What about the one where all British have terrible teeth?

Anyways, just coming around to ask if there are any significant English players that we'll see on the big scene soon.

And you redcoats are welcome on the Wild boards. We're better than Ranger fans. We at least know we're bad.

A little confused by the bolded statement, do you ever read the Rangers board? we were the ones who had a "this is a bad hockey team" thread at the start of the season and our "torts for adams/fire torts" thread whenever we lose Callahan is just a 3rd line grinder, and threads pop up "Traid Stall!!!1!" "Traid Dubinsky!!1!1! omgfgiubqvinv" and when we lost a game with Biron in net there was a thread "Biron = Valiquette = Brutal = Goodbye"

The player to watch right now is Lewis Hook, lead the U18 league in scoring while still a U16, played for the GB U18 team as a 15 year old. Is signed to play in the 2nd tier adult league next season.

Apparently Danny Wood has become more of a two-way player in his time in the states and often played on a "shutdown line" in college.

If so I like this signing even more, as last year most of our forwards were hopeless defensively.

I see Matt Towe has signed in Belfast, which will help them with the loss of Dowd.

The person who doesn't play Nigel, is perhaps the worst actor i have ever seen.

It would only truely be British, if there was a murder, and the local gardener decided to solve it.

Not a huge amount though, Dowd was always hard to replace.

Whack Towe on a line with two proven goal scoring imports and they'll do well.

Well Dowd is irreplaceable player-for-player, but they've done well adding Towe and depending on which Dave Phillips turns out, they could do well there.

Stevie Lyle has signed in Basingstoke.

Was not expecting that at all. Seriously the amount of rumours that were floating around, and none of them were true
