Yep, and my biggest complaint of the old Jacobs era was that his cash was spent in ill advised places, while alienating solid talent from ever wanting to sign in Boston

I think it may be. Interesting too after September 15 and the new CBA to see if any other players are in the pool.

Honestly, does anybody realistically think Rask will get LESS than 4 million? I don't see how he doesn't. At the very least, somebody gives him an offer sheet of 4.5 and the Bruins have to match. I don't see how you can get Rask signed for less than 4 million in ANY situation.

This makes me salivate. But the "voices" keep telling me we don't get Parise and Horton is never the same again

Clearly, that line had great chemistry during most of the regular season, and it was a great mentorship for Seguin to play with Bergy this year BUT when the games really mattered, they didn't want Seguin on the ice in situations that Bergeron thrives in. He's THE guy you go to for every important draw, every big defensive stop, and all that meant spotting someone else on the line for Seguin in those instances- which means you're now cutting minutes off your best offensive player, and your shuffling lines to accomodate the changes, or flat out reshuffling the whole deck mid-series (like we saw against Washington) to get the matchups you want.
I thought the same thing, but really Claude did it when he was with krejci to and kept Lucic out there for some reason.

And Coach Parker and Morris once again win with their predictions! Only difference I have is that I think Caron goes to the Flames with Spooner and Knight is in that 3rd line position.

They'll put either Ference or Seidenberg with Hamilton(if he makes the team) to cover for any mistakes he makes while he's learning the nhl game.

They won't give a rookie top pair mins until he's ready. The b's take it slow with rookies.

So if a Boyle or Carkner type targets him he can handle himself? I don't think so not yet.

They paired Kampfer with Chara and it worked really well with hiding Kampfer's mistakes. I could see them doing it during the regular season, its not like d lines are set in stone for each and every shift.

That wasn't to start a season and that was out of necessity and it didn't help his development. He also had time in the AHL in the B's system as well. Hamilton hasn't played in the B's system at all.

IIRC, it was later in the season. If his superb offensive power makes it into the NHL barely skipping a beat, and his defensive play stays strong, I'm sure he'll see time with Chara. I'm sure at some time management would want him too, Chara is such a great mentor for him.

I doubt he'll be paired with Chara at the beginning. I'd say McQuaid or Seids as well. I'd lean towards Seids, as he's tough and great defensively. Would be a great partner.

I don't like Nash's salary as well, but for the right price, he would be a great addition.

Slightly unrelated...or maybe not--but if you read Steve's tweets, you'll probably notice he's a cocky, entitled kid with little tact. Maybe it's just me, but I think he comes across as a massive toolbag.

Claude and co. probably stuck him with Z to see if it would straighten him out. When it didn't, they dumped him on Min. for a nice quiet guy like Zannon.
