That's fantastic. You should send it to him on twitter, I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it.

Yes and I'll take an early game on Sunday vs. playing after the NBA. The ice for game 3 was a total disaster.

Game 2 line breakdown (good news for Kings fans):

http://www.jewelsfromthecrown.com/20...ied-life-blues

That's two games in a row where Hitchcock has been unable to find a combo that's able to control the Kings top line. Here's the chart from game 1:

http://www.jewelsfromthecrown.com/20...e-heavylifting

His Berglund line (L2) in Game 1 was more effective than his Nichol line (L2) in game 2, but that the Arnott line (L3) in Game 1 was massacred. He moved Arnott to L4 for game 2, which gave Hitchcock better L3 and L4 results at the expense of L1 and L2, which isn't ideal by any stretch.

Basically, Hitchcock has yet to find any combo that can handle the Kings L1 at all, and the shoring up Hitchcock did of L3 and L4 in Game 2 resulted in the Kings Top 6 having a field day.

This is all 5 on 5 time keep in mind, which means the Kings need to stay the **** out of the box for Game 3. The goonfest in Game 2 distracted the Kings from their solid 5 on 5 play.

Stanley Cup Championship

I know there is a long way to go, but I can't help thinking 'we might actually win this thing'. The team has undergone an amazing transformation this season. I think we can beat anyone the way we're performing and maturing. It's beautiful, exciting, engrossing, satisfying, somewhat shocking and a little scary.

I believe that nothing I can imagine about how I will feel when we win will actually be how I will feel if it really happens. This is a once in a lifetime experience for everyone involved - the Los Angeles Kings win their first Stanley Cup Championship. Seriously, with each win I feel a little more of that 'I'm starting to freak out' feeling.

But I also feel that 'disappointment' doesn't exist anymore. This franchise has turned the corner. WE ARE CONTENDERS! However things turn out I'll be happy with what was accomplished and optimistically anticipating the future.

I'm so proud of the guys and happy for all of us fans. Game 3 - Go Kings!!!!!

That's really well done, you should send it to his Twitter. Also, you could have Penner saving him from tumbleweed Kesler.

I'd prefer the early game on Sunday because I work weird hours.

Quick on Dan Patrick.

DP "When was the last fight you had?"

JQ "Couple of weeks ago with Kyle Clifford, but we were just messing around".

Yikes, that's all we need, a friendly fire injury this time of year!

I think the Kings will take care of business on Thursday. Sutter has this team believing in each other and they are extremely focused on game 3. Keep driving the net and they will win.

Kings on Sunday afternoon.

lmao @ Penner on twitter "Itís a lot of responsibility, because now youíve got people asking a lot of questions that you want to answer, but thereís only 24 hours in a day. Ten, I like to sleep, and six I like to lay around. I donít want to spend another six on Twitter, but thatís what it warrants now, with all the messages that you get.íí

Interesting stat from game 2:

Even-strength defensive zone face-offs for the Kings defensemen:

Martinez 1
Greene 1

Voynov 1
Mitchell 1

Doughty 8
Scuderi 8

I know people get on Doughty because he doesn't put up as much on the offensive #'s side as people want, but it's not surprising when you see this stat. He's busy doing all the heavy-lifting on D so Voynov and Martinez don't have to.
