I am interested to see if Dale does anything to protect Green at all. Like keep him away from Rupp. Limit his minutes if its obvious the B's have game planned to pummel him..
i think you are on to something rh. it will really throw torts off if huntsie keeps all the players that the rangers have game planned against on the bench for most of the game.
torts will scratch his head and then it will explode. after the flaming explosion a fan will then douse the flames with a well placed beer shower.

iirc rh, you have already suggested that dale keeping ov's minutes at an all time low part of a plan to mess with torts matchups. if beating down green is also part of the torts matchup plan, keeping his minutes to a minimum would work the same. right?
I want to see the Caps amp up their physical play a bit. Have to match the Rangers this time around unlike last game.
Another reason in favor of getting Ovechkin out there more...
If we aren't gonna get the crowd in it with the high flying offense act we can't let them be lulled to sleep. Physical play will keep them in the game.
Other than 23, I'm ok with the line-ups. Aucoin really offers nothing. He provides no scoring threat, no physical play, and is bumped off the puck easily on contact. If you put in 85, you have another scoring threat. If you put in 15, you put more sand paper on the ice. Aucoin just exists.
Sure thing Tex, maybe he is sore and could use an off night. Dale sure likes Wideman and Carlson plenty.
But really tex more questions, no input at all? Obviously you think Green getting nailed last game doesn't need to be addressed. Why not just say that, or not respond.

You would rather bicker. a recipe for ignoration!
Questions can't contribute to the discussion?
(Pretty sure I've received "ignoration" anyway, but)
Aucoin is doing his job on the 4th line with Knuble and Ward. No need to break that line up right now.
Meanwhile Marcus Johansson has been the forward who has been by far the biggest liability whenever he steps on the ice.
Yeah I am warming to 'coin and The 'coin brothers line. Interesting mix of old, older, and overpayed that make things happen.
As for MoJo, I wouldn't label him the biggest liability at the forward position, but he is close. He and Wideman are good for at least one extremely poor pass a game that leads to an odd man rush.

honestly rh, you post some of the strangest things said the strangest ways that i am never sure how to take your stuff. Ignoration???
my main reason for posting what i did was to walk that down the fans dumping beer on torts. if you are offended, apoligy.
i just figured that you post the wierd s**t that you post to get a reaction. i wont respond to it anymore. i promise.
one last question, then and you can have the last word. if limiting green's minutes is good for the caps, then why not scratch him entirely and put orlov in?
For some reason I have a feeling Schultz is going to score a big goal at some point, and not the kind that banks in off his skate and into the net. A bona fide game winning fluke of a goal past Lundqvist. Kind of like Matt Bradley scoring when he was even with the goal line.
Slightly OT: I'm in Irvine, CA for the week and trying to watch the game with a good atmosphere. Anyone know of any Caps and/or hockey bars in the area?
I've been pretty disappointed in Mojo as well. Lots of bad decisions and a lot of them have been in dangerous situations. I thought he looked much better last spring.
