Bah, what were they even reviewing, their own whistle (or intent of)?

The NHL is the minor league of professional sports. It's the 21st century NHL, let's get it together.

Yeah, you could clearly see the point where he lost sight of the puck, he was just sluggish on the whistle and blew it late. He probably wasn't expecting the puck to come loose from under Smith.

Unfortunate, but our forecheck has stepped up in the last ten minutes and has turned into two goals. If we keep the pressure on and score another goal before the end of the first, we'll be in great shape.

Ruling is that Smith was knocked into the net by Legwand? never heard that one before, and certainly didn't see it actually happen on the ice.

As a Habs fan, this game is also making me miss Kyle Chipchura again. Really enjoyed watching him on the Bulldogs. Great team guy, works hard, protects teammates despite not being a top fighter, good at both ends, good protecting the puck and winning it on the boards and has better hands than you might expect. Shame he didn't get more of a chance to make the Habs.

Well, water skiing behind a guy is one way to get a 2-on-1. Not a smart penalty by Legwand.

Walkom should have never returned to the ice after serving as head of officiating. He's been a disaster in every series he's called.

Pushed into the net .... not quite. Bad call, over come it, drive on.

Up and down first period, but the highers were higher than the lows were low, and we end up with a 2-0 lead. Power play looks anemic again, but the forecheck has come to life and really turned the game in our favor. Two more periods like this one, and we're back in this series.

Still have 2 periods in this one and our PP looks awful (funny that our PK has better chances...)

That said, nice to not only get the first goal but start to turn things around.

40 more minutes of hard nose hockey, let's go!

We had 16 hits, they had 7.

We won faceoffs 13 to 11.

I'm fine with the no goal call there, but I don't get what they were looking at on video review. They must have widened the rules for video review lately
