The Sixers winning (care nothing of basketball) was trolling to the max for myself and everyone at the bar last night with 6 TV's with the Flyers game, 1 each to Sixers/Phillies.

I just picked up Chooch in my fantasy league. His season is now ruined. Sorry guys.

Cole and Vanimal have been better than Doc this year. Cant expect him to be superman for his entire career as his is almost 35.

He had Cy Young caliber year last year, and he started off the year well. Hopefully he'll figure it out.

I think he's hurt. Velocity's been down all season.

-Buster Olney ‏ @Buster_ESPN

Quote:
Roy Halladay avg. fastball velocity, from 2009-12: 91.7, 92.1, 91.6, 89.9. Missed swing pct. from 2009-2012: 15.7, 10.8, 11.4, 4.8.

Who wants to bet that the competitor in him is keeping him from telling the organization about an injury? Because that went over so well with Chase... Though I can also see them knowing about it, and keeping him in until Cliff, Ryan, and Chase are healthy.

Maybe Doc needs to go back to those baseballs where he traced his grips for his pitches. Everyone usually has a rough patch and I'm sure he'll figure it out.

He should have won it as the last two years have been great. I dont remember to any starts like this before. He is an older pitcher who has thrown a ton of innings the past few years. His velocity is way down and that is not good.

I agree, but he takes such great care of his body. Baseball players also last longer, but i agree the velocity is worrisome. I actually wonder if he has some type of nagging injury.

Oh boy, getting 6 outs to get to Papelbon is going to be a problem this year.

Chooch really does take nights like this personally, probably felt partially responsible for Doc's failings.

7 RBIs makes up for it buddy.

Chooch is a bad bad man. Might want to hit him clean up for the time being.

Despite JRolls blunder, this teams bullpen right now is a disaster.

Idk what to think... I always believed that both his and Lee's delivery and pitching styles lent themselves to pitching effectively late into their careers, but can't deny that his performance of late has me seriously worried.

Yeah, this is disgusting. I really dislike the move to bring in someone right from the BP with the bases loaded, especially someone untested like Schwimer. Let Contreras get out of his own mess.

Interesting game. Both the Caps and Phils lost in extra time. Not a great night.
