I'm 34 years old and proud/ashamed to say I have been peeing in Poland Springs bottles for the last 3 hours and dumping them out my basement windows in order to not leave this room. thanks for winning
I think the Rangers got away from their game, and we played to Caps strengths for most of the game.
Gabs with late period heroics doesn't change the fact he played poorly for majority of the game.
Boyle was poor, but he made some key face off wins. I still hate his flatfooted skating. He is a damn anchor at times.
Our D, aside from some mistakes, played stellar. Hank was stellar. Richards played hard the whole game.
Rangers HAVE to get back to their physical play. They cannot sit back and wait for the mistakes of the Caps.
We were LUCKY to win this game.
After that offensive performance we'll take it anyway it comes..plus it proves once again that defense wins championships...and D and Hank played excellent...the D had maybe 2 goofs...especially on that give away where the puck hit the post by Ovie..But Henrik was amazing.
This is exactly how I feel. Once we won, I high fived my brother, then hugged him, then proceeded to do the worm, and then that weird dance that freaky girl did in the breakfast Club.

3 possible heart attacks and 18 tall boys later i'm a happy camper. My biggest props goes out to our D core, my god playing with only 4 for the majroity of OT, those guys are insane, but everyone deserves praise......well except Bickel.

Did you invent a spruce moose while you were at it?

And not just the assist on the game-winner. He was incredible tonight.
No he wasn't. Aside from the game-winning assist, he played horribly. Missed at least 3 great scoring chances with aweful puck handling and decision making. Richards hasn't played this badly since the Sens series.

I know each game is a new game...but after going through games like these and winning..your playoff armor builds up..makes it much harder for a team to beat you in those tight games.
Girardi, Callahan, McDonagh, Boyler and the rest of the shot blocking bad ***** on this roster... I think only Hank TRULY appreciates how tough these mother's are. Especially #5.

Therein lies the problem, our D and goaltending is championship level. But our offense is beyond incompetent and anemic.
We rely too much on it. Sorry, but it aint going to cut it. Caps play good structured D, but they have a weak defensive corps. The Rangers cannot struggle this badly, it only gets harder as they go along.
