We still had a three-goal lead on them there, and you know it’s going to get a little chippy. This time of year, you expect that.’’ (on the Kings’ penalty killing…) “We could be better on that, as far as not giving them those opportunities. That’s something we need to improve on. Even on the kill, they’re creating some stuff there that we can take away. Myself, my reads that I’m making, there’s still room for improvement."

We were able to get two late goals that kind of put the game out of reach. It was a battle, especially in the third (period). A lot of PK.’’ (on getting another shorthanded goal…) “I just knocked the puck down, and Kopi is reading the play, to jump up. It’s one of those things. We had to keep going hard on them and frustrate them on the power play.’’ (on Anze Kopitar’s game…) “He’s been probably one of our best players or, other than Quicker, probably our best player all year. When it comes to PK stuff, me and Kopi and PK’d now for five or six years. It’s just instinct for us now, when we get out there and find each other."

We took too many penalties and gave them momentum, but a win is a win. We’re happy about it and we’re going to go back home and hopefully play well.’’ (on Dustin Penner’s recent play…) “He’s playing well. He’s been playing well for a while now. He’s starting to get the bounces. He got a nice bounce in Vancouver and a nice bounce the other night to score the empty-netter. But he’s earning his bounces. He’s working hard for them. He’s getting in the right spots and he’s a big body. He’s hard to move."

Kopi had a real good first period.’’ (on trying to manage the rough play in the game and stay under control…) “Well, there was a lot of penalties. There’s three teams on the ice. I don’t know, after the first period, how good any of the three were. Strange.’’ (on regaining the four-goal lead early in the second period…) “It’s a big goal for us, right? They scored a goal. It was a shoot-in and our defensemen didn’t respond to it, and we come right back and score again. It’s a big goal.’’ (on if this was what he envisioned when he took over, with the team reaching its potential…) “Well, I know there’s a lot of good players on our team. It’s hard, getting them to play all together at the same time. You know, I just look at is as, we’re in a series. I don’t look at an overview like that. We came here and we had a tough first period in the last game, and we had a good second and third. Tonight, we had an awesome first, and I don’t think we played well after that. So, we’ve got some work to do here, and get ready again.’’ (on Dustin Penner’s continued strong play…) “It’s good to see that emotional investment from Dustin, right? Good to see, and good for him. Hey, it’s what I said before the series. We need him to have a good series. They switched their wingers tonight, with the two centermen. It’s still the same six guys together, for the most part."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

The table says regualr instead of regular

Let's win this! None of this OT nonsense either. The Caps/NYR game was tiring to watch.

I have a feeling this will finally be the low-scoring close game everyone predicted these games would be. Go Kings!!

Awards:
This is do or die for the Blues. They win it, they have life. They don't, then...they don't. If the Blues are the team I think they are, they will play as hard as any team we've faced all year. I think we have the better team, and it's a 3-2 league (lol) so that's what I'm going with.

If we go up 3-0 on the 2nd best team in the west after we did it to the 1st team in the entire league, I'm going to ****ing laugh so hard at all the people who wrote us off, including myself. **** em up boys. Fight dirty. Kick em in the nuts. Gouge the eyes. Poke Hitchcock's belly and make him giggle. $20 we don't score on this PP.

Considering game 4 is a day game, this game is pretty close to a must win

Dont forget "Pull Crombeen's pants down and away from the faceoff circle!" and "Rip Perron's head off like a bear ripping off a honey jar lid!

Staples will be rocking tonight and this team has earned the fans support with great start to the post season. This one can go either way, but I'm pretty sure we'll see a tight game, similar to gm 3 in round one. One thing no one really talked about coming out of last game was the poor night Elliot had. I think tonight we'll see him bounce back, and Pietro back in the lineup. So hopefully the Kings stay physical all game, and their edge in (growing) playoff experience carries them to a 3-0 lead.
