If Garth {MOD EDIT} can't get this guy over here, this should be the final nail in his coffin. I really wish Wang would can this guy so he doesn't piss all over another draft

Somewhere in South Korea, leaponover is going insane right now, Bluechipbonzo is contemplating suicide and I'm just...very dissapointed.

But but but blue chip said he was coming over this year and would dominate.

It sucks but it was kind of expected

How is this Garths fault? Snow could only offer him a ELC, Petrov went for the money and gets to live in his home country, or he succumbed to the pressure of the russian mob...I am not a fan of GMG but he only has so much to work with, based on Wang.

But Garth Snow is awesome and cannot be blamed for this. Five consecutive lottery picks is executive of the year quality...

Garth could only offer a ELC and nothing more.......I am not a fan of GMG but he has to follow NHL guidelines with this

Why do some people have to pick on Snow for whatever reason? I'm surprised nobody's blamed Wang yet too...

Snow had to offer an ELC, Ak-Bars could offer him the world. It's that simple

Apparently Petrov's dream was to use the NHL as leverage, not actually play here.

Well, that was a major letdown. I guess we can finally close the book on Petrov.

A couple of thoughts...

1) This is why he went in the third round. Nobody should be surprised.
2) No fault to Garth, you know the Isles would have loved to have added a player with big bonuses to reach the Cap floor.
3) No word yet on whether the contract has an NHL out clause.
4) No word yet on how many years. If it is 1 year, you really can't blame the player given the very real chance of a shortened season next year.

3) no NHL out clause. KHL rules does not allow it.
4) at least 2 years according to KHL rules.

I recommend you to keep this link There will be info about lenght of contract after contract is registered in KHL office.

I think, many of you dont speak russian, so I give you an example this guy, Alexander Pankov

Quote:
Клуб: Толпар Club: Tolpar (jr of Salavat Yulaev in MHL)
Находится в: Торос Current team: Toros (farm team of SY in VHL)
Вид контракта: Двусторонний КХЛ/МХЛ Type: two way contract KHL/MHL
Контракт до: 30.04.2013 Lenght until:30.04.2013

From Botta...

http://www.sulia.com/post/hockey/103...-d69863dde72f/

Looks like a combination of ill mother / CBA behind the signing. Should be 1 or 2 years.
