Today's practice update: Ilya Kovalchuk is skating on the fourth line with Ryan Carter and Stephen Gionta. Harrold could be scratch if Kovalchuk plays.
"Game-time decision" - is the official word.
But reading the article, Kovy said he wants to play, but it's "up to the coaches", while when DeBoer was asked he said it's "up to Kovy". So that would seem to indicate he's going to become the highest paid 4th-liner in the NHL tonight. And I think you're right that it's likely PH will be the scratch, because DeBoer said Larsson "earned" the right to play tonight given the way he played in Game 2.
I didnt read any of the post game quotes from Lavi or some of the top players on the team. Hopefully they come out with some passion and desperation tonight. Go back to Flyer hockey. game 2 was a disgrace.
They gotta get the PP going again. 1 for 11 thus far in this series. This teams success is tied to the PP, whether it be actually scoring, or building momentum through sustained pressure which leads to good things later on.
They gotta find a way. Get the puck moving from side to side, Brodeur flip flops around like a fish out of water when you get him moving and sustain pressure. Their PK collapes down low on these plays opening up the points and players on the side boards, gotta pounce on that.
I expect to see the guys with strong legs all game long with an aggressive forecheck and strong neutral zone game.
Being down 2-1 in their rink, while not the end, wouldn't be the ideal situation.
Can we please send these old *******s to the golfing course early? Like holy **** their roster is ancient. The only guys they have in my age range are Adam Henrique, Adam Larsson, and Jacob Josefson. Time to move the **** over old men, its the youngbloods turn.
