London Knights in the NHL

After Don Cherry mentioned on coaches corner that there are I think it was 23 former London Knights in the NHL right now, I decided to see what kind of line up they would make. I realize that not all of these players only played on the Knights for their junior team, but here is the lineup.

Nash (7.8m) - Tavares (3.75m) - Perry (5.325m)
Kane (6.3m) - Gagner (2.275m) - Kadri (1.72m)
Kelly (2.125m) - Bolland (3.375m) - Kostitsyn (2.5m)
Prust (0.8m) - Rinaldo (0.544m) - Barch (0.838m)

Extras: Kostopolous (0.917m), Aliu (0.846m), McRae (0.854m), Pelech (0.525m), Maroon (0.55m)

Girardi (3.325m) - Del Zotto (1.088m)
Wideman (3.938m) - Carlson (0.845m)
Erskine (1.5m) - Quincey (3.125m)

Extras: Methot (3m), Syvret (0.525m), Rodney (0.525m)

Mason (2.9m)
*Coleman/Houser - (0.6m?)

Starting Lineup of Forwards Caphit - 37.352m
Starting Lineup of Defenseman Caphit - 13.83
Starting Lineup of Goaltenders Caphit - 3.5m
Total Starting Lineup Caphit - 54.682
Assume highest paid forward (Kostopolous) + defenseman (Methot) in press box Caphit - 3.917m
Caphit of Team - 58.599m

* = Currently the only goaltender in the NHL is Mason. Coleman is currently on a try out contract for Colorado's AHL team and Houser is the Knights current goalie.

Clearly goaltending is the serious weakness of this team. The forwards and defense though I think are very solid with a very nasty 4th line. Note that these caphits are for the current season, next season some players (such as Tavares, Carlson and Del Zotto) go up in salary.

But this season I think this team could do some serious damage in the playoffs assuming the team plays a more defensive system to help out the weakness in the net.

I always play a few seasons with a Knights team in NHL 12 and others. Inserted for the Hurricanes and run shyt. But then I never make trades and abandon it. But fun for a couple seasons for sure.

You can find some others in the Europe leagues too though like Olimb, Fata, Schremp, etc.

Which date was he talking about the Knights? I missed it

Saying goaltending is a weakness in professional leagues from a junior team is kind of silly lol.

Mason a rookie of the year and a starting NHL goalie.. adam dennis running things in europe, coleman like you said.

There arent many teams with a starting OHL goalie.
