That's just too bad switching in mid stream just doesn't work eg Olden, Krieder is an example of playing three years, maturing and able to step right into the NHL.
I don't know how I feel about it, though I don't think it will ruin the kids development by any means. Player development is definitely specific to the player itself.
Assuming he goes to the OHL:
The good is that Biggs will play a larger role for a longer enduring season with arguably more peers and better overall talent... It could help him develop his offensive game more.
However the downside is that he'll be physically more dominant than other players compared to the NCAA, where he was already playing with more mature players. This in itself would present a tougher transition to the pros presumably in the following season. I say that because he may get used to using his size to run show in the OHL, whereas that may not translate as well into the NHL right away.
That's cheap! What's the likelyhood of getting a ticket if they get through?
Also, I was going to say that there can't really be a bad seat as it's quite close.
I was at the game last night. Like others have said, not a bad seat in the place. Solid atmosphere for a Tuesday night as well (everyone had flags waving). You'll have no problem getting seats as there we still a good amount of empty seats. Good, cheap, fun way to spend the evening!
FreeBird is right. Not much good happens in the backroom at Cowboys. Thanks to Eric Francis and his friends I once got thrown out of Cowboys in a choke hold and a bloody lip. I was with Eric Francis and his friends for a private Calgary Sun promotion, free drinks etc, they opened the bar and we got rolled by the bouncers. It was ****ed.
