A couple signings per Capgeek.com

The Anaheim Ducks have signed LW John Mitchell (Not the same John Mitchell currently playing for the Rangers!) to a 2 year ELC worth $530,000 annually. Mitchell, 25, had 8 goals and 17 points in 50 games with Syracuse of the AHL. Mitchell was never drafted.

The Nashville Predators have signed LW Daniel Bang to a 1-year ELC worth $925,000 annually. Bang, 25, had 8 goals and 18 points in 50 games with AIK of the Elitserien in Sweden. Bang was never drafted.

Sounds like he's now signed to an NHL deal (Shaw)

I saw that on forecaster but have put him into the 'Maybe' pile, along with Tyler Biggs, because I haven't seen any real confirmation of that sigining.

It's Bång. Pronounced like:

Not sure what the Preds see in him and I'll eat a load of crow if he plays more than 20 games in the NHL.

You're just bitter because your team got relegated.

I'm not betting that he'll make it in the NHL either, especially on a team with the depth that Nashville's got, but I hope they send him back to AIK if he doesn't make the cut (and he wants to return). He's a good player in the SEL for sure.

I am, but that's not why I seriously doubt his chances in the NHL.

Finnish daily Ilta-Sanomat is reporting that Joonas Järvinen (D, 23y, 6'3" 220lbs) has signed a two-year and two-way contract with the Nashville Predators. Last year he played with the Finnish league runner-ups Pelicans Lahti and is currently playing with the Finnish national team in the World Championships. Järvinen signs as an UFA and should be with the Predators next season.

Gonna hold off on adding Jarvinen until I see something more official.

According to Steve Lloyd, the Ottawa Senators will not be signing prospect Marcus Sorensen, but will likely sign Jakub Culek.

It's never the kind of thing where you'll see a press release, but I can confirm it.

Would but won't. He will 100% sign with Minnesota after the WC.

according to EliteProspects, Adam Janosik (TB 3rd in '10) signed in the Czech league, so I'm guessing he's not getting a contract from the Bolts.

I saw this one was close to being done yesterday, but I held off and now the Senators have announced it. The Ottawa Senators have signed D Fredrik Claesson to an ELC. Claesson, 19, had 1 goal and 7 points in 47 games with Djurgardens of the Elitserien. Claesson was a 5th round pick, 126th overall, of the Senators in 2011.

Avalanche confirm the signings of Millan and Patterson, as well as announce the signing of G Sami Aitokallio.

Quote:
The 19-year-old posted a 3-2-0 record with a 2.52 goals-against average, .937 save percentage and one shutout in five games during the tournament. Colorado’s fifth pick (fourth round, 107th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft, Aittokallio saw action in 11 games for Ilves in Finland’s top professional ice hockey league (SM-liiga) this past season.

Yep, #1 European goalie.

Avs got the #1 NA and the #1 European goalie in 2010.

Aitto has developed really well too.

Before the draft? I'm not sure about that. But he's probably Avs best goaltending prospect, according to reports he was the best goalie during the Avs pre season training camps.

I see G2P beat me.

Has there ever been any other teams which brought in this many rookie tenders in one offseason? Curious anyone else can elighten me. Avs have 3 minimum, maybe 4 if Aitto comes over to NA.

With that many rolls of the dice, at least one of them has to stick one would think.
