Yes it clearly is. The flyers have struggled against true defensive teams all year. Look back at the st louis game this year, we got flat out dominated for 60 minutes. Looks exactly like this game

You think the Devils are bad, we would get absolutely destroyed by the Rangers. No way in hell this is our year.

All the yelling in the world won't fix this. Maybe the two-day layoff will help

LOL you people need to get a grip. Series over? It's game 3 of a series that's tied 1-1, and we're down a goal with two periods to go. You sound like Penguins fans after game 4 and/or 5 of last series. They need to refocus, and play harder. Also the system can be adjusted, but that's not the problem they're just getting out worked. That's the players not the system.

What coverage? they consistently play with one foot out of position ready to pinch and rock an odd man rush

If this is the case then expect another summer of re tooling. We are not designed to play hard nose hockey.

Grossmann over-committed on Kovalchuk's goal, but that was poor transition defense from everyone but Hartnell (who busted his ass getting back).

Yeah I'd love to see what the Vegas percentage for picking winners is for these playoffs so far, its got to be pretty awful

Yes but it's not all system, you do have to have guys who can win battles with size and speed and energy, and the Flyers are short on that kind off blueliner at present

On the bright side it's only 2-1 Debbies, even with all that pressure in the Flyers own zone, and it was the 1st period they usually wake up about now, not a complete loss they can still turn this around

I said it so many times before this series started that people keep forgetting how aggressive New Jersey's forecheck is.

Im almost sure Grossman went after somebody that Coburn already was covering. We had three guys back just two of them were on one devils player. Giroux should be back checking harder, but players need to stop having brain farts and covering the wrong players

They certainly do look outclassed...i was worried they wouldn't take the devils seriously, but I thought they'd give some effort. Aggravated.
