If the injury was a result of a cut, perhaps a skate made contact near the ankle, but it is not typical procedure to release specifics so quickly. Eventually, a visible injury will be reported but it was odd to divulge the nature of the injury during the game.

I can't see where there is a cut. Tocchet suggested it's a groin or hamstring..he really extended that leg awkwardly. Might be a tear....I hope not.

He is officially listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury. That is from the Flyers and a late afternoon update.
