Between the head butt, Grossman holding Clarkson at center ice, Simmond's trip, and the slashed stick I was flipping out. I love that Poni of all people scored the game winner, that was the best thing he's ever done for the Pens.
Ray shero, Dan bylsma, and the whole penguins team (especially the defensmen/penalty killers) better be watching this series . This is how you play against the Flyers. Letss gooo Devils
The dude NEVER makes a dumb/bad play, and is phenomenal in all three zones and in any situation he's put in. What a ****ing beauty.
He's one of the only guys with Crosby's work-rate in all zones. I don't know if that would make him a perfect fit on Crosby's line or the opposite. He's ungodly good, though. Still really under-appreciated too.
When this round started I was pretty much cheering for the Devils by default since I hate the other teams so ****ing much, but now I'm starting to like the cut of their jib. Go Devils.

I'm still praying for a top 6 of:
Parise - Crosby - Brown (the Captain line)
Kunitz - Malkin - Neal
Probably won't get my hopes up, though, but as Andy Dufresne says in The Shawshank Redemption, "Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."
Red, however, may be more correct in this case: "Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane."

He said in his opinion Crosby is the best player in the NHL because he can do so many different things. I think he tries to make his game better all around just like Crosby. Like you said though Parise definitely has the work ethic and skill in him. I wish we could somehow get him on our team
I think one thing that will pay dividends the rest of the way for the Devils is having Parise and Kovalchuk on separate lines. A much harder attack to defend.
If NJ can get production from Kovalchuk & Elias going while Philly scrambles their lines trying to get Jagr, Hartnell, and now Giroux going, could be interesting to see.
I only caught the 3rd and OT but Jagr looked like *******. It was a beautiful sight.
I was in and out of the game, but I had to check the box score to make sure he even played, even though I knew he was around (got an assist on the 1st goal). But his groin is definitely giving him issues. I wonder how much longer he can go really.
