This is going to be a cake-walk for the Sea Dogs.

Rimouski should still be in OT against the Mooseheads as their "series winning goal" didn't even cross the line.

Even if he has a good camp(which he had last year honestly), how soon before he sticks with the big club under Bergevin's clock?

Seriously.......avoiding all put him in now wishful thinking most would lobby for around here.

If we are going to develop players instead of 'throw'em into the fire what's thee proper thing to do here?

Much more physical though.

Peter Trainor looks pretty good out there, I'm guessing he's draft eligible this year?

Anyone get a full year look at Ian Saab on Saint John? Do you think he'll receive a contract this summer from an NHL team?

I'm not sure he can put up Mike Green numbers (I can dream though), but I'll take a physical Mike Green and run with it.

I think he has potential on the defensive end though.

He won't be able to put up Green's points but he is more physical and better defensively.

he had some good chance, him and Trailor are playing a very good game, but Mallet just can't put it in. But he has 2 assists and was a key for the 2nd goal

Impressed with Beaulieu tonight.. Great defensive slide at the end of the first OT.. He is playing very well.. Will need work on his positionning at the pro level and get stronger though but we have a very good prospect thats for sure.. I like the Green comparison, I think they play a very similar style..

Seems like the Nic is not the pushover everyone thought. Still tied after one OT.

I would deal with it the same as we did with PK.

Give him a year in the AHL with maybe an odd few games to be called up for due to an injury.

His defense needs work and he also has to adjust to the speed of pro hockey before jumping right away.

I think he is still 2 years away from the NHL.. No need to rush him, lets give him time to bulk up and dominate at the next level..

Edit: it wont be the easy run most of us thought it would be, that Rimouski team is pretty solid..

Obviously in the NHL he'll have to improve some aspects of his defense, but any talk that he is weak defensively is hugely overated. At the junior level his defense is well above average mostly because of his size, mobility and smarts, plus like some of the best defensive d-men in the NHL he has a good stick to break up plays. His physical strength and positionning within the defensive zone still needs work but that's not unlike most junior d-men. As a puck mover and skill guy offensively, his upside is high.

Looks thick out there, he's physical as advertised, haven't really had a chance to see his shot, but based on this game I don't think he can be a scorer at the NHL level, he displayed some nice hands that eventually led to a goal though. Probably will be like Ryan White, haven't seen anything that would make him a third liner.

Beaulieu's passing is so good.
