From what I just saw of the USA vs France re-run, Braun did not have a good game.

Whatevs, Greiss is too cool for this tourney. Not like those loosers named Brauny and Pickles...

From looking at the stats, Braun was the seventh defenseman. It's tough to impress when you're not playing much...

Well, what he was doing on the ice didn't really warrant more ice-time.

Good to see that Vlasic got more TOI than Bouwmeester and Schenn.

Maybe he's having a hard time adjusting to the bigger ice? Or maybe nerves are getting to him.

Though that didn't seem to affect all the other defensemen's games. The team would dominate with full possession until he touched the puck, and then all of a sudden France would get a push back.

1. The amount of people showing up. The arena was dead silent.
IMO this is kinda funny though, since tickets are way more expensive on our side of the sea and we have more attendance than they do. IIRC 150 euros were the cheapest ones to the Belarussian game.

But I do agree, the prices are ridiculous. Cherry on top of the cake was our Iron Chancellor of hockey Kummola saying "those people who are complaining about the prices weren't going there anyway".

I think Vlasic must have gotten injured on a hit he took in the third period. Didn't see him on the ice at all after it.

The Germans (even for the Olympics) seem to want to include a goodly portion of players playing in Europe.

Wonder if he's on the "planning" long list for 2014.

Vlasic had about 7 minutes in the 1st, same in the 2nd, then I would say 3 minutes in the 3rd.

Hope he is ok

Agreed. Totally inexperienced and poor defensively. The big ice just exposes it. He's got work to do on his defensive game

Yup, he still has a long way to go before he's considered a top 4 defenseman. This will be a good learning tool for him.

Bad news: Vlasic out for the entire tournament (leg injury)

http://tsn.ca/canadian_hockey/story/?id=395201

He got absolutely crushed by Jeff Petry along the boards when he tried to dump the puck in the offensive zone. I think that was his last shift.

Better that than a soft tissue injury. You actually know it's 4-8 weeks with a break, usually. Totally different animal if there's tendon, muscle or ligament damage.
