Hopeless PK.
If we get another penalty, we're finished.
Rēdlihs/Sprukts and Daugaviņš setting up some nice plays, couple of chances here and there, I'm sure we can get at least a tie, if we manage to play as tight in the defence as in the 1st period.
Seems that the Russians are playing better with each period, as expected.

So is this really the best team Russia can put on the ice?
Which injured russians would be on the team had they been healthy?

Ok. Then, for example, how exactly the bigger ice helped him on the second goal?

That Malkin-Nikulin goal was
That goalie wasn't even in the same dimension.
Team Russia looks like a mess so far.

Not sure if clueless
Yakupov is a "nobody" at this moment in time who didn't prove yet he belongs on the NT.
MZZM are either injured or had rough seasons.
Kuznetsov could be the next generational player, he needs time to learn the system and what it takes to compete on the men's level rather than the boys' level.

I'm just shocked that this is the best Russia has to offer (minus players still in SC playoffs)
Kuznetsov and Datsyuk together obviously doesn't work, coach needs to change it up.

Well, as the game developed Russia started to look more organised and moved better. Defense is still an enormous ?.

Well looks like he's going to have to wait 2 more years till his KHL deal expires before he begins to learn those lessons. If he looks out of place against Latvian just wait until he has to face NHL caliber defenseman against Canada and USA.

Well Bilyalalala's team's rarely are flashy, but they get the job done one way or another.

Kuz will do just fine against Canada and the US.
