I agree. Petrov is not good enough for the NHL as of now. Can't say if it will change later, but at this point it is sound by Snow not to throw anything at Petrov.

Exactly. I can understand some frustration but there's no reason to be heartbroken.

Petrov is a borderline NHL'er at this point. He might have helped the Sound Tigers next season but he hasn't shown anything that would indicate he'd be an impact player at the NHL level yet.

Most KHL first liners are border line NHL'ers and Petrov isn't even a first line player in that league.
