For the record, I think we got screwed. The Hagelin penalty, the no-call on the Callahan trip, and the no-call on the delay of game. I don't believe in NHL agendas, I just think the refs blow.
I was completely livid with the no call on Callahan. Cost us the game right there
Refs were fine up until the Hagelin penalty and the Cally no call.
I hate losing games because of bad calls but it's just the way things are going lately. Lundqvist had an average game, that cost us together with the offensive faulures and referee's messing up.
One thing that has been bugging me the entire season is the number of shots missing the net completely! If we could just aim for the freakin' net, that would make a huge difference
This is the first time in my life that I'm complaining about refs, but honestly, anyone who doesn't think their officiating was grossly unfair to the Rangers is either a blind Wash fan or a blind Ranger hater.
It kills me that they weren't going to call Hagelin until Gaborik blows by with the puck and Carlsson drops his stick. Meanwhile they get away with the same play on Boyle and the play by Knuble which is the most black and white call in the rulebook.

That's my belief, too. I understand the Hagelin call, if you get the Boyle call. And, how the hell they missed the Knuble delay of game is beyond me.
Rookie mistakes my Hagelin and Kreider, 2 bad goals by Hank and clutch performances from the Caps three stars is why they lost today.
I keep telling myself that if they win the Cup, it will be games like today that will make it sweeter.
The Rangers love making us sweat it out.
Finally, someone admits that Lundqvist was a huge factor in this game. You can't take an off game in the ****ing playoffs. What a disappointment the "King" was today. We win this game with Quick in net.
I don't really believe in an NHL directed fix, don't think they are smart enough to orchestrate it even if they wanted, but there is a very real problem with the inconsistency and haphazardness of penalty-calling. Starts out right away with Stralman's, bing-bang we aren't putting up with anything today all you guys statement. So much for that.
Rangers can play better than they did today, that is for sure, but they still could have won. It just tells me how poor the officiating was when it causes me to complain, because that is not usually the case.
I'm not as upset about calls against the Rangers as I am non-calls against the Caps. Their 2nd and 3rd goals were both direct results of blatant fouls that were missed.

lol, not smart enough? You mean someone like Bettman who's a lawyer? Do people honestly think that people who are running a multi-billion dollar business are stupid people?
