How the ***** is Green's goal "bad"? Hank even admitted in the postgame he was screened and couldnt see it. It was also a laser. That is NOT a bad goal.
Ovechkin's was...yes. Anyone getting on Hank today is clueless. For every 30-40 amazing saves he makes he'll let in one he'd like back. Tell me what goalie doesnt. The team was awful in the 1st, great in the 2nd, and the 3rd was even. Game was decided by awful officiating, otherwise I think we'd be playing in OT right now.
The refs have been calling late penalties all postseason regardless of the score. They've called slashes like Hagelin's before.
When you consider the Rangers had the last two PP's in an away rink, you had to figure Caps were going to get the next one.
It was a dumb penalty for Hagelin to take. Richards' in Game 2 was a dumb penalty.
Hagelin was extremely disciplined in the regular season. He's lost control on two occasions and it cost the Rangers both times.
In the regular season, you can not show up against certain teams and just sneak into OT or a shootout. Not in the playoffs. The Rangers were pure trash all game. All we heard about their "elite" conditioning and "Camp Torturella" after game 3.....well, where the **** was it today?
This was a 2-2 game until the officials totally manufactured the circumstances to give the Capitals an advantage. The Rangers played far from great, but this was a 2-2 game until the referees took it into their own hands.
I'm not as upset about calls against the Rangers as I am non-calls against the Caps. Their 2nd and 3rd goals were both direct results of blatant fouls that were missed.
How about the blatant holding all game. That's OK, but Stallman gets called for interference
I'll summarize it for you:
Q: Why was the start so slow?
A:Their PP gave them momentum.
Q:Thoughts on the refs?
A:Nothing.
.....
.....
.....
Torts: Would you guys just ask the question?
It kills me that they weren't going to call Hagelin until Gaborik blows by with the puck and Carlsson drops his stick. Meanwhile they get away with the same play on Boyle and the play by Knuble which is the most black and white call in the rulebook.
yea its obviously ridiculous and that cost them the game. Not sure why they cant just let the teams decide the outcome.......refs F'd the Rangers on this one

HELLO?
It was a bad goal because Callahan went to clear the zone when he was tripped...The allowed Green to take a open shot
lol, not smart enough? You mean someone like Bettman who's a lawyer? Do people honestly think that people who are running a multi-billion dollar business are stupid people?
The talk about team-centric conspiracies has been going on for a long time. My own opinion is that no organization is smart enough to keep a lid on something like that. Yep, that's my take on it.
The real problem is that the NHL does not embrace a code of ethics. Similar to Ian Walsh's performance in the Winter Classic, officials do not appear to have performance reviews or any specific discipline.
why the f$$k is boyle on the ice taking faceoff after faceoff in the caps zone with under 2 minutes left...why the hell is boyle on the ice in the caps zone with 40 sec left...WTF torts?
Well, if Richards was on to take the faceoff, he would have been kicked out.
