LMAO. Yeah because people leave their feet and aim for the head when contact is incidental. This is Dale Hunter though, who probably still thinks his cheap shot on Turgeon was clean.

Have a feeling whoever wins game 5 ends the series in game 6...

Rangers need to find their game on Monday night, and the refs really need to let the boys play or try to develop some consistency.

Hunter commenting on Ovie's Hit. I haven't seen the replay, but i believe it was incidental contact. He didn't see the replay? Incidental contact. Hunter is totally credible. Look at his wonderful honest Career

The Rangers should sign me to a 1 game tryout contract. I don't want a 2nd game; I aim to get suspended. I played college hockey and I'm fast. My skating is virtually my only strength. I'm positionally OKAY in the defensive end and I'm 5'10 205lb with a pretty low body fat % for my size so I might be short but I'm not small. I will go out and RUN a ****ing elbow through Hendricks or Backstrom or Green or anyone's FACE.

Or I'll keep watching from home.

In my mind, Washington has not been as tough as Ottawa and regardless of whether it takes 6 or 7 we ARE sending these goons packing. **** them. Our boys are going to the ECF; it would just be nice if they could win or lose on THEIR OWN play, rather than according to referees who defer to the audience for calls. L-F'in-GR!!!
I think we're the better team but going 7 games leaves you susceptible to losing on some bull **** calls or a really bad game by one player like Del Zotto had. In a 7 game series: one bounce, one weak goal by Hank, one headstand by Holbty, one bad call, and we're out.

Hunter used to be Girardi's coach in juniors. So he's trying to weasel his way out of the question.

Come on now. He's their head coach. What to you expect him to say?

Not blaming him, but it was very weird to see Lundqvist beaten cleanly on three shots.

If I study enough for these finals, I should be able to get out of my first year with a 4.0 GPA, so I'm trying to keep my complaining to a minimum!

Not too comfortable giving out the school name online, only because it's a (very small) private school on Long Island. I'm only in my 2nd semester, which happens to also be my 2nd semester of max credits (18 hours). Fortunately, from this point forward I will only have to take minimum credits to graduate (12 credit hours).

As a Chemistry major, having 6 less credits every semester is going to be a relief going into upper-level classes. Unfortunately, the end of this series will have to be sacrificed in the process.

He was screened on two of them. Backstrom's shot was from in close, Stralman screened him and it was just a good shot. Green's was a laser with McD screening him. Hank said after the game he didnt see the puck on those two goals. For sure, he'd like to have Ovechkin's goal back, that one was on him.

1.) Ovi hit looked similar to the Torres hit on Hossa.
2.) Yeah it sucks that there were some pretty bad calls today, but I'm used to it now. I still think we can win this thing. Game 5 is going to be huge, more so than the last series I think.

they both have a similar history, too... i'm thinking ovi needs 25 games to think about what he's done.

Albeit the torres hit was a late hit... i'd settle for 4 games.

Sucks man. Feel your pain (to an extent) have 3 coming up.

And completely understand with not giving out name. But good luck.
