We have not heard a peep or had a PG sighting since he got fired. For all we know, he could still be sitting in the office completely oblivious to the fact that he was released. So MB's first move could be to tell PG to GTFO.

1. Hiring a coach
2. Drafting with the third overall pick
3. Re-signing our own free agents
4. Maybe signing a star UFA

He's going to be conservative until he gets a firm grasp on the team and what the players are capable. Martin's era didn't do much for a lot of the youngsters, they're all going to want to prove their worth. Pleks too.

Obviously it is to get his AGM.

But technically, he already made a first move by signing Morissette to a try out.

You guys think the fact that Bergevin is our GM might intrigue a few star players?

Just to put it in a concrete situation..
If the Gauthier offered X$ for Y Years to Parise
and if Bergevin offered X$ for Y Years to Parise

Would it be possible that Parise would say no to Habs with Gauthier as a GM, and Yes with Bergevin as a GM?

I know... It was just a joke... I know it was touching but I just find it funny that we saw him cry on tv his first day when we really never saw any emotion from habs management in 10 year.

1) Re-model the office that was once Gauthier's - remove the bars and SS table and chair; replace the surgical theater lighting and re-paint to cover the clinical white

2) Research the eateries in the neighborhood, including the take-out and delivery joints in order to be covered for those late nights of work

3) Ignore Gomez till the day he banishes him off the books - why get to know someone you're turfing?

4) Prepare for the draft

5) wait till the season ends - see if any "good candidate" coaches get fired

6) Hire a coach

7) Take a brief vacation before the season starts

Send Gomez a letter thanking him for the amazing job he did on the ice. Also, if he wants to get his Canadiens jersey back, he must pay 10 million dollars for it.

I sure hope so. I'm thinking he's definitely going to go for Parise. I'm not saying he's going to convince him but I think he might be able to.

Parise has french canadian origins (''not this again!'' I know..), he seems like the kind of guy that could be affected by arguments about how great and glorious the history of this team is and I'm pretty sure Gionta could say a few words to him.

Trade Subban + for Yakupov and have him play with Grigorenko for the next decade.
