It's always surprising to hear players say it's hard to play in Staples. I guess sometimes even i buy into the stereotype that LA Kings fans are fair-weather and don't' care about their team when compared to other franchises.
It's also a bit surprising all the props Doughty has been getting in the playoffs. I thought he was playing well, but not great (most people seem to be disappointed in Doughty). I guess there's a lot more knowledge that I still need to acquire.

It sounds like Hitchcock is a big fan of the Kings. Maybe we should make a bandwagon avatar for him after we knock them out of the playoffs.
For a while I just thought he was leveling, but he's said this stuff before every game (and losing), so obviously he's genuine when he says it. It's just a bit odd to me that he keeps saying how much better the Kings are in this series. It's like he's given up on his own team.

He coached Doughty in the Olympics so he probably has a bit of a soft spot for him. But I agree, he keeps saying nice things about the Kings and it's not in a Guy Boucher, reverse psychology way. I am surprised he keeps doing it.
