Both the Swedish and Finnish federation choose their own game times. Sweden choosed 20.00 local for all their games, and Finland choosed to put both their Sunday games with an afternoon start(rightfully so imo). Sweden doesn't have Sunday games.

Ok, interesting. Ty for the info. I wonder what was the logic behind Finland's choice, since that Sunday factor isn't good enough reason. Starting at 16:00 Finnish time, when they could take 18:00 is odd IMO. 21:00 for a Sunday game would be too late and I guess they wanted to try to maximize their chances that people will buy some of those expensive tickets, but why not 18:00 hmm...

Getting the game done early will leave more time in scouting the next game's team's tactic and it could possibly give the chance for the coaches to see their game live. Could that be it?

18:15 isn't an available time slot when there's three games on the schedule. 12:15, 16:15, 20:15 needed to get three games in. Who knows why they prefer 16 over 20 though. But I can speak on Sweden's behalf and Sunday hockey(on pro level) barely exists here.

If we go all in on forwards:

L.A. ---- Berglund Steen (1 game from elimonation)
Phoenix ---- Lindbäck Hörnqvist (1)
Larsson ---- Grossmann (2)
Lundqvist Strålman ---- Bäckström (2)

Eriksson - Zetterberg - Franzén
Silfverberg - Järnkrok - Berglund
Alfredsson - Bäckström - Hörnqvist
Persson - Lundqvist - Landeskog (brunkarna hyllas på Brunkebergstorg)
Larsson - Krüger - Stålberg

Kronwall - Karlsson
Hedman - Hjalmarsson
Kronwall - Ericsson
Brodin

Fasth Enroth (Stålberg)

Please get the Brynas-line back together and put Stalberg o the fourth line. His vision is on par with Ray Charles' back in the day.

It's the big ice imo, he'll come around but he needs to do what he is supposed to do, provide speed, energy and checking so that the other players on his line get more space. If he's good enough to play on CHI 1st line with Toews and Kane, and being a 20+ goals scorer, he's not such a bad player...

I think so too, players like him and Landeskog will only get better.

He actually called them himself, AND made other players come, did even sundin do that?

Alfredsson obviously got age going but imo zäta should have gotten the C, like wikegård said if he skates the others skate, should have been a given.

Aren't we 13+7+2 = 22 right now? Do you count a third goalie?

One of the spots needs to be reserved for a goalie.

You just gotta love Z.

Did anyone see the interview with Z in the studio after the game? Good grief, Jihde was pressuring him to say that the only goal for them was the gold medals but Z kept answering diplomatically like "We have a good team and.."

Wouldn't be against it. A Game 7 Rangers-Capitals would be only a week or so before the final. Any player from that series will be drained of energy and emotion. And a spot for Lundqvist would still be open.

I would rather have Steen than Hornqvist to this team. We have net presence already, Eriksson, Franzen, Landeskog, Lundqvist.

Oh. Lungquest then! And maybe Hörnqvist is an interresting choice if it's between him and Berglund since he might have some chemistry with Alfredsson imo. But Berglund might work with Stålberg and Krüger...headache.

Saw that Nice touch to have an open day from the team's side though, seems to have a nice team spirit! One of the common swedish keys to success.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jarnkrok get an expanded role. The young guys on this team havent looked out of place one bit.

Well, they switched Landeskog with Alfie mid-game against the Czechs and made it the second line. He's played quite a lot. Took very short shifts in the first game(0:26 AVG shift) and only played 12 mins, and then played 15 mins in the second game(0:41 AVG shft). Playing second PP unit, does some penalty killing aswell.

Looks like St Louis is going to be eliminated.

Landeskog-Berglund-Alfredsson

Pretty good second line!
