Its so pathetic to see the sixth year of a team with massive support (which most likely helped pave the way for Vancouver and Montreal) have 0 playoff appearance a the worst start in team history.
We should be allowed to switch TFC with the Lynx or something.
I thought they outplayed Chicago for the most part. The guy who scored the goals (#19) looked great at some points, Plata was wicked and showed a ton of hustle, his pace was about 1000x better than anybody out there for short bursts. Frings looked disinterested for the entire first half (brutal giveaway on the 1st goal), but in crunch time was probably their best player, except he couldn't push them through.
There's a guy...I think his name is Thomson or Johnson or something he's #9, plays an attacking role, he's godawful at football. Don't know what he was thinking doing this for a living.
I'm not a TFC fan, but the gf is. MLS is a great exciting league, but it seems to me it is mostly due to the fact that the officiating is garb and there is nothing even remotely resembling defensive structure. Frings looked great barking orders around all game, but the defence was still horrid.
Lambe (#19) didn't seem like the MOST talented guy in the world, but he made a few defenders look absolutely ridiculous during rushes down the wing late in the 1st half. On 3 separate occasions, he just BEAT 2 defenders. Frings did it as well late in the 2nd half, beating a guy to the outside, then crossing for what looked to be a surefire goal...that #9 totally shanked. It was so "surefire" that the confetti went off even though the redirect went wide. Pretty funny.
I was really impressed by Plata, Lambe, and Frings (for the most part...but the 1st goal was 100% entirely on him, and maybe the 3rd one was a little bit too, but the goalie never should have come out as I think the attacking player was pretty well contained. And HOW does a goalie whiff like that completely :s), but the problem is absolutely everybody else on the team is freaking terrible. Eckersley played horrible and almost killed a guy like 3 feet outside the box, Kocic just got beat seemingly every time the ball was in his box...it was pretty bad.
Think it's been official for a while now, years actually, that they suck. Most useless and incompetent attempt at building a team that I have ever seen. They don't deserve the fan support they get.
It was actually a winnable game...Frings missed his PK (and then a RSL player ran up to him to taunt him....), Eckersley's OG....Avila had a nice goal.
Its like watching a trainwreck, though, especially seeing half the team collapse to the ground after the goal in the 93rd.
Hey guys, I am visiting from Vancouver this week. Could you help me find a soccer shop that has a very wide variety of replica jerseys. I am looking for both South Korea and Japan. Thanks!
This team just angers me. How can this many management groups be this incompetent?
Haven't the fans learned from the Leafs? 18 thousand fans paid good money to watch this POS team. Yeah, real motivation for ownership to change things. They can get suckers to keep paying even without any sort of history or prospect of a decent team.

One of the biggest markets in MLS + a culturally diverse area with a large number of soccer fans + a population with perhaps the highest level of average disposable income per capita of all the major cities in the Western hemisphere = a situation where a packed crowd is guaranteed regardless of team performance.
What an embarassment that while Toronto FC sets new benchmarks in futility, the Impact are having a decent expansion season.
Undefeated at home, beating Kansas City on the road. Everything that comes after this is just gravy for Montreal.
If you read the post-game quotes from the TFC players you can sense that there's a mutiny going on in the locker room. I wouldn't be surprised if the coach is fired this week.

I was at the game and Frings stormed off the field when he got subbed off, he went right to the dressing room.
I dont know why he got subbed off, hes the only one out there that looks like he actually cares.
