I don't find the partying a big deal. These guys aren't going to be all broken up about losing a prelim game, not in this tournament. It's just not a huge deal to them. I am quite sure that part of the reason that guys go is to play hockey, and part is to have fun with some buddies.
A bigger deal- Vlasic being out for the tournament with a leg injury. I found that he was doing pretty well thus far. This defence is going to shambles.

But Quincy?? Ive been reading about him, Detroit gave up their 2012 1st pick for him, how bad can he be ??? He strongest asset is his skating...maybe it will help on this big ice ...this looks really bad now, going to worse??? Is Quincey better than Method, Schenn and Murry???

LOL. Outside of the Olympics, Hockey Canada's luck on the international stage has been ridiculously bad the last 3 or 4 years. This tournament is over for us, as far as I'm concerned. The team is playing like ****. Ward is giving us **** goaltending. The injuries are mounting. Time to pack it up boys. Game over.

They are adding Quincey...We can wait for Shea Weber....Why Quincey??? Everyone else said no!!!! I think including Quincey we can add 1 more skater.....
Beauchemin needed shoulder surgery, otherwise him over Schenn seems like a no-brainer, seeing as how he's pretty much a better version of Schenn in just about every way; and he's just one possibility.
Schenn made Beauchemin look like another Lebda in Toronto. He was definitely outplayed.
Against USA Schenn actually looked good. Didn't make one bad pass. Always crisp and on tape. He was also certainly better than Methot and Vlasic.

I saw almost all of Quincey's games with Detroit this year. He is definitely better than Schenn and Murray, but that isn't saying much. He will probably help with the transition game, but he gives the puck up a ton and isn't great defensively. Not the player Canada needs.
I highly doubt that Weber comes, considering he is a free agent this summer and he is a lock for the Olympics already. I am also highly doubtful that Pietrangelo comes given his injuries this playoffs. Canada should be absolutely begging for Brian Campbell to come, and they may also want to wait for Wash/NY to be finished to try for either Alzner or Girardi.

From what i understand Quincey is a replacement for Subban, Quincey logs over 20 minutes (He cant be that bad???) a game.
Is he top 4 in Detroit ? I keep reading his best Asset is Skating...

Unless our offense and goaltending gets its **** together, we have no hope in winning this thing. I can't believe Quincy is the best defenceman they could get. wtf Lowe.
Campbell, Beauchemin, Andrew MacDonald/Hamonic, Hamhuis/Bieksa, Brodie, Gorges, Saley, Stuart, Boychuk, Phillips, Cowen, Ference, Allen, Weaver, Wilson, Demers, McNabb (if you're going for a young player then why not take McNabb over Murray)....I know some of them like Myers or Giordano were recovering from injuries but for these type:
I know Hamonic declined due to personal reasons. I take MacDonald over Schenn pretty easily, as well as Murray and Quincey.
