Nice win by these guys tonight. I really hope they can take this series and gain a little respect. Everything I've heard outside of Philadelphia has been the sixers still would still get steam rolled after the rose injury.
I havent watched them lately, but I remember when Rose went down, ESPN had a mini-special thing talking about the series and how the Bulls were too good with or without Rose to do any worse then a sweep of the 76ers.

Oh how that worked out.
...they also lost Noah. At that point, the tone of the predictions changed a bit.

The Bulls won like 66% of their games this season without Rose, they were still a good team without him
Talking about the day Rose went down. I remember they had an almost all day thing going on it.
I agree. Never said otherwise, just funny how "they wont do worse than a sweep" turned in a 3-1 76ers lead.
I think you're exaggerating a bit.
I don't follow the NBA that closely, but I watch enough general sports media to have a decent sense of the climate of opinion. I don't remember anyone (respectable or important) saying the Bulls were still going to sweep AFTER Rose's injury. The line of analysis was more "I still think they get by the Sixers, but..." In fact, I'm pretty sure like half the ESPN / TNT guys used the phrase "get by"--which doesn't really suggest sweep to me.

Eh, if I could I would show you the segment. My buddy was with me and he heard it also. Get by and sweep are totally different. They were saying sweep and how the Bulls' were too talented. They were saying even without Rose it was going to be a sweep. They were also talking about how the 76ers really struggled before playoffs and it will most likely continue. The 76ers might get one win in game 3 or 4, but otherwise it was a sure Bulls win. Not making it up haha. Friend lives for sportscenter so we are watching it almost all day long (well when we are in anyway).
Watched today's game at a friends house. Was a good game, and yet another defensive battle as expected. Would've liked to have seen the Sixers press their advantage a bit more with no Rose/Noah and get larger leads, but against a strong D in Chicago and with a team in the Sixers that will go into lulls offensively from time to time I'm not surprised it didn't.
Up 3-1 is nice. Hopefully they can finish it off in Chicago. Noah is supposedly trying to be ready for that game, but he will probably not be 100%. If they can't finish it in 5 I can very well see this going 7.

I just dont see how they are to talented without Rose. Noah brings grit to that team, but that is what they basically are without Rose. They are very good defensively but Carlos Boozer is not worth the money he is getting paid and Deng is playing injured. Gibson played pretty well though and I dont even think Rip Hamilton played at all in the 2nd half.
Sixers pull it out and are moving on! Boston up on atl late in the 3rd. Would love the hawks to come back, i think we have a better chance against them...either way were screwed if we have to play the heat unless we can get as lucky with injuries as we did this series.
