I don't understand your sentiment, what made it terrible? I thought it was decent for the mindless eye candy and style over substance genre it occupies.
Here's one they used to play during pre-game and after opponent's goals. The only way I found it was, years ago when I was doing scorekeeping for Polar Ice I went up and asked the Coyotes' sound guy what it was....
The two techno songs that I know are played are Zombie Nation and Sandstorm. Zombie Nation is the chanting one that you usually hear at college campuses. Sandstorm you won't recognize til it gets to the middle of the synth, as the stadium usually transitions to it from Zombie Nation. I don't think Sandstorm gets played as often though.
At tonight's game I heard a song that I've been trying to find the name of. Unfortunately, the only lyrics I remembered were "this is a call to arms". This was definitely a band and had a hard rock/metal sound to it (don't think the vocalist screamed at all).

Nope. It may have even been "call for arms". This was definitely part of a chorus. The "call to arms" part and the lyrics that came after it were repeated two to three times.

I'm going off your description of the music because the lyrics are kind of off on this, but the theme is kind of the same and this song is played at NHL games all across the country:
Anyone know why in the playoffs during warm ups they play pop/hip hop type music and in the regular season it's generic arena rock. Seems odd they would change it for just the playoffs but they have done it every year.
No, that's not the one. The Glitter anthem, I absolutely refuse to listen to anymore.
No, this one is kind of an electronica/synth variation on the Atlanta Braves "chopping" chant. It has a pulsing bass beat under it and a low-register synth playing the melody. As it goes on it layers on percussion with every successive stanza.
A poor approximation of it:
Dah dah dah DAH dum... dah dah dah de dah dah DUM... dum DAH dum dum.
I just realized that that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Unless I'm missing something, this question was never answered. I believe you are referring to "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis;
What's the warm-up song? I've been trying to find that online with no luck.
There is no set warmup song. The Warmup songs are selected by the players based on some strange internal rules of teh locker room. Hense so much bad Euro trash music

There was one song that they played every single time the players came out on the ice for warm-ups, though. The songs after it were different, but that particular song was used for a good 15-20 games.
Regular season they just about always come out to Joker and the Thief. I'd bet that's what you are thinking of frackiewicz. But even the songs after don't vary too much.
I'm not buying the player selection thing because the music 100% changes during the playoffs.
