But can you NOT take 10 games of one of the top performing playoff forwards on the team? Tough call, as he was pretty bad this season otherwise.

Regardless I suspect DM, Tip and crew retain him.

I am a little surprised that no one has brought up Pouliot. Every single game that he has had to dress, I have noticed him around the puck, and being in the right position. Not saying that I would not like to sign a 1st or 2nd line C and have Pou as the first callup, but I have liked what I have seen.

Pyatt is just one of those players that we would rather have on the team than off the team. If the injury reports are true, that explains some of it, but we have also had a lot of different line combos on the 3rd and 4th line this year, so there was never much consistency there...

I'd take Pyatt back...

I have no idea how that could possibly be the fourth line without us being way under the cap floor.

Spend more money on the higher lines.

We can also use the trade path to acquire help.

I might be late to the party in this thread, but I don't understand this post. Pyatt has never been known as a playoff performer. Never. In fact, last year he was great in the regular season but disappeared in the playoffs. I can't deny that he has been really good this spring though. But I hope he doesn't get a contract based on his play this playoffs only.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for interfering in your debate...

But everytime I see this guy (Nichlas Hardt) Play, I cant stop to think he'd be perfect for your 4th line. He is undrafted, and prolly cheap.

He plays for Jokerit in the finish SM league, where he was the pointleader this season. He also nettet some pretty important goals in the playoffs. His team won Bronze.

I know youtube videos are not in any way proof that he is good enough, but it gives pointers to how his game is.

He is gritty, aggressive, and fast. They call him the Duracell Bunny in Finland. He just never stops. He is on Team Denmarks 1st line at the WC at the moment. He is on a line with Frans Nielsen (Islanders) Lars Eller (Habs) Philip Larsen (Stars) and Jesper B Jensen(Rögle, SEL).

Here are his stats

At last years WC he played on the 1st line with Boedker, the two had amazing chemistry!

This KLIP is from last weeks exhibition match against Italy. Hardt Scores the 3rd Danish Goal and gives a lovely assist on the 4th Goal By Frans Nielsen.

Fun Fact. The second Danish goal scored by number 4. Is Mikkel Boedkers Older Brother Mads, who is a D-Man.

Okay, so you want to bring in new help to the top six while giving full time spots to Biz, Chips, and Arnold or Hextall?

You are sandwiching a whole heck of a lot of current players out of the line up.

For example...

Xxxxxx-xxxxxxx-Doan
Whitney-Hanzal-Vrby
Korpi-Vermette-Boeds
Torres-Gordon-Brule
Biz-Chip-Arnold/Hex

Is FIVE forward lines and Pyatt, Langkow, and Pouliot have already been let go. The X's represent the bigger money additions to help us hit the cap floor.

Which three names from that list of fifteen do you scratch out?
