Thanks for the laugh but hopefully Wideman can get it together. The other two pairs can't afford to make any mistakes.
I like Wideman and there is a good chance Hunter overused him during the season. Because of that I'm willing to cut him a break. But what was disconcerting to me about him was that he stated he was "happy" with his play. While he has been a bit better that comment was made shortly after the Boston series.
Maybe Wides was overused, but the timing of his game dropping off a cliff was the trade deadline IIRC. Almost to the day. Maybe he really doesn't like DC.
You are about right I believe. Wideman was on ice in Carolina for three goals but Hamrlik got scratched. He's been pretty abysmal since - not Hamrlik but Wideman. If you'd check the stats and see how many GA he's been on for since it would make Roughing's counter spin much faster I believe.
