I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I don't think he's had to make that many tough saves in this series. Sure he's had his fair share, but nothing like in the Boston series where he did sand on his head.

Even Richards stated how he isn't exactly standing on his head.

The Rangers need to play 3 full periods tonight and not take the first period off like they have the last two games. They need to get on the board early and not let up b/c if they lose tonight, I do not think they'll come back from 3-2 again.

Stopped hoping for an offensive outburst, all they need is 1 goal more than the caps... For 11 games now everyone is predicting an offensive break-out game... So far its been 10 games (except game 1 vs ott) full of heart-attack potential. Rangers getting beat at their own game by the caps: D and shot blocking.

Just 1 goal more please...

Will only be able to see the 3rd period (hopefully we get a convincing win without OT).

I have faith. Let's go Rangers!

So true and the same things being said about an off game for Holtby were said about Anderson. It's not happening. These goalies aren't playing lights out, they're playing decent to good. The Rangers are not getting many quality chances, let alone high quality chances, and the ones they do either go in, or are screwed up some how and are put wide or in to the logo.

The only way we're seeing an offensive outburst is if the Rangers start making some nice plays and getting more high quality scoring chances. So far this playoff season they have not shown they are capable of such things, especially consistently or often.

Some credit does go to the opposing teams defenses however. They've been better than their goalies have.

I have a final very early tomorrow, so no OT please.

Just ****ing win. Whoever wins tonight wins the series, imo. Go hard at Holtby, score quick, AND GET SOME ****ING GUYS IN FRONT OF THE NET.

5-1 Rangers win.

LGR!!!

How about playing Ranger hockey and finishing every bodycheck, like the Captain does, especially on that turnover maching Green?

Win tonight and we win the series. Lose tonight, and, well, I don't like our chances with our backs against the wall in Washington where this team hasn't played well at all since the lockout.

Al Davis said it best, JUST WIN.

It's a simple equation, defend the home ice and win the series...this is what we played for all year...

That kind of style of play only works in the regular season, not the playoffs

All joking aside, the two things that have baffled me the most during the playoffs are:
  1. The inconsistent officiating throughout the league.
  2. Why the Rangers haven't been able to play "their game" for a full 60 minutes yet.

There is obviously nothing that any team can do about #1, which is why I always keep my mouth shut over the officiating during the playoffs. Good teams overcome it. Bottom line. End of story. I'm not saying we've been jobbed or haven't gotten the benefit of a call here and there, but I am saying that this team hasn't played it's best hockey yet.

We're all waiting for it to come and if it doesn't come soon, we're all going to be miserable. Things are breaking so perfectly this post-season and it's looking more and more like things are setting up for a Cinderella story. I say "eff that!" Screw Cinderella and the glass slipper. As the highest remaining seed and home ice throughout, I want to see this team seize the opportunity and run teams out of the building. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

Not sure why, but very confident tonight. Play smart, stay out of the box, and we get an 'easy' victory tonight. Of course for our team, 'easy' means we score an insurance goal sometime during the third to seal it.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

Shoot from the middle of the ice please! Tired of seeing everything come in from bad angles.

Find anybody who can bomb it from the point and dress them, I don't care if you have to play a one-eyed Al MacInnis, stop with the piss-weak shots! Caps are literally taking point shots on their tape and moving up ice.

I see Lundqvist standing on his head tonight. Rangers win 2-0.

Give us, the fans, a night off from raising our heart beats, and blood pressure to heights that should never be reached.
