I assume you'll be in the Loop, so I'd head down to the Gold Coast. Pretty much any bar on Rush street is packed on a given night. I'm partial to McFaddens.

There are bars all over the place but there are a few clusters that you'd be able to bounce from bar to bar to find what you are looking for.

Gold Coast (Rush & Division)
Wrigleyville (Clark from Sheffield up to Racine)
Lincoln Park (Lincoln & Webster) - Will probably have the youngest crowd.
Wicker Park (Division & Damen or North & Damen)

Thought I might piggyback this thread, seeings as the stickied one is closed, if you don't mind.

I will be coming to the US for the first time later in the year (Nov) and one of my stops is Chi-Town. Was just wondering, how easy is it to get Hawks and Bulls tickets? Not knowing the schedule yet is problem, but I wouldn't mind catching a game of either at the UC. I'm trying to get to either a hockey or basketball game at all the cities I visit on this trip (of course a Penguins game is a must for me, but enough about that.....sorry).

So, any help would be appreciated.

When in November? The circus takes over the UC the last half of the month.

With Stubhub, Hawks ticketexchange, and other similar sites, buying tickets isn't hard, it's just more of a how much you willing to pay?

Yeah, I don't want to go too ridiculous getting a ticket. Wouldn't want to pay anymore that 1.5 times a normal ticket price. If that is even possible. I know what people are like with their wanting top dollar for their ticket.

I'm not too experienced with the ticket sellers, but I can't imagine you'd have to pay 1.5 face.

Really? Your scalpers must not be very good then, lol. Here in Britain, if a football ticket is worth £50 you will be asked to fork over £200 for it.

If that is not the case then, i will have no problems paying somewhere near face value for a ticket. Just didn't want to get fleeced.

Thanks.

if you buy the tickets as soon as you settle on a date, you should be fine. Besides, you got that exchange rate workin in your favor

As a nice Chicago gentleman informed us after a Hawks game when I went there a few years back:

"If you're looking for some loose ace, you go to Rush and Division." Took all of 18 seconds.

You can also get try to get them via Ticketmaster when the tickets go on sale in August or September at face value plus standard fees since you already know the dates you'll be visiting. Not sure how the shipping would work out with you being overseas.
