It was in an episode of Oil Change iirc.

There isn't a player I've watched that is as pumped as Ovi when his team scores.

Really disappointed in the Flyers. They should be able to beat NJ, but just can't get it done.

Philly is a joke. I think they focused too much on creating a blood bath with Pitts in the 1st round that they tired themselves out. Now they are going to be without their best player for game 5, they better hope they get the tending performance of a lifetime from Bryzgalov. If they don't, oh well he has 8 years to make it up to them.

I think the Flyers main problem is that they went from playing a team that looked like they had no system what so ever with shoddy goaltending to a team that actually plays a system that the whole team has bought into. Parise has looked fantastic! And while Brodeur is clearly passed his prime, he is still making the saves when they need them.

Giroux gets 1 game. Shanny has been inconsistent in his discipline but I think this one was warranted.

Everything that has gotten a suspension has been warranted.

Where Shanny is going wrong is 2 things:

-Games that certain suspensions are getting are all over the place

-Shea Weber should have been suspended in the first round instead of fined. It has easily been the most deliberate act of all the suspensions and yet it was the only one not called.

The worse thing for me is too many people focus on the Weber incident. I'll admit it was a complete screw up, but move along from that hit and everything else isn't all that bad.

As for this hit, seems about right.

Agreed.
I had issues with his video on this one though. He goes through all this effort to point out Giroux had recently been hit, turned his back on the play to complain to the ref, chopped the guy's stick etc etc. But he never said why that mattered.

Is it suspendable to turn your back on the play or complain to the ref?
I'm assuming he was trying to point out that Giroux was upset and headhunting, but he never said it so why even show it.

So completely different from Hartnell being upset after Potter hit him and then kneeing MPS. Shanny is a friggen hack.

The one game suspension for Giroux is spot on.

So how what are your opinions on Brule and Pouliot's play in Phoenix? who would have known.

There was no way rookies like Schenn and Couturier were going to keep producing once they went up against a team playing with some semblence of defensive ability. Philadelphia has continued to play poorly defensively and get no better than average goaltending for the most part. They can no longer score 8 goals a game to mask these deficiencies. They're very thin down the middle at this point, and that will always do a team in eventually.

I actually think they overachieved somewhat to get as far as they have. I didn't even think they'd make the playoffs after trading Richards and Carter and inserting two teenagers into the lineup.

Capitals just screwed up so badly. They had a lead with 10 seconds left, Holbty goes to glove the puck in front of the net in a scramble instead of holding his ground and Richards scores to tie it, and then Staal scored in OT to end it.

What a typical Washington Capitals loss. I'm not even a fan and I'm frustrated.

I was disappointed there was no penalty shot called when Alzner covered the puck.

Lets chalk it up to justice that NYR got the win anyways.

Alzner didn't cover it up in the crease so it shouldn't have been a PS.

There is only a penalty shot if you put your hand on the puck in the crease.

Karl Alzner put his hand on the puck outside the crease

Never entirely discount the club with more playoff experience. The Devils still have some players with ample SC experience. Strikes me that the Rangers have needed quite a bit of playoff luck just to get where they are. They're not firing on enough cylinders to suggest they would dominate NJ. I think even the Flyers would give them trouble. The rangers have had the easiest opponents in the playoffs and have made both series look very difficult.

Phoenix is actually going to win this series. ****in' ridiculous.

Preds came so close to scoring, within centimetres, and just can't seem to find the target. Been beyond a frustrating series for NSH.

Shots 20-10 for Nashville. In 10 games before tonight Phoenix has given up nearly 100 more shots than they've taken. Pretty crazy how well they are doing. Exceptionally timely scoring and key goaltending.

Sound familiar? Very similar to the '06 Oilers, a team mostly made up of grinders and a few skilled guys, getting severely outplayed for the most part and relying on extremely hot goaltending and timely goal scoring.

Its not really that atypical a formula in the playoffs.

Lets not discount either that despite shot margins Yotes are not really giving up that many primo scoring chances. A lot of it has been textbook teamplay, puck support, outbattling the opposition for loose pucks and getting it out of the zone.

Plus that the team that if front running the entire series and always has the lead can give up more shots. The Yotes are confident(and why wouldn't they be?) that they will win any close game. So when the game is close they are never pushing for offense. They're simply playing their game and looking after their own end first.

Yotes are also short 3 starters in this game and still winning.

Preds deserve what they are getting. Especially considering they gave up 9goals in the first 2 games in this series. How many good, disciplined games has Nashville really played in this series?
