Del Zotto has been inconsistent. He'll make a nice hit, but then he'll get a little overzealous and take a bad penalty on his next shift. Or he'll do a good job of getting shots through in one game, and then in the ensuing games after that his shots will get blocked continuously.

It's understandable, this is his first playoffs. But one of the issues with DZ is that it takes some time for him to learn from his mistakes. Unfortunately I think some of the issues he's been having won't be rectified during the playoffs.

Mitchell's faceoff win was also his first playoff point in the NHL. Congrats to Mitch!

Also amazing was Carl Hagelin getting back on the ice for the powerplay in the last minute.

just got back to my apt from the game. it wasn't pretty, but when richards scored, it was the loudest i've ever heard the garden. granted im 26 and didnt see any of the 94 games live in person. I'm a jets fan, but seeing strahan and tuck going nuts behind the bench may make me switch (not really, i'm loyal but ya know what im saying). amazing game.

looked to me upon watching several replays that it was intentional. and in the last few seconds of a game when you're up a goal, a lot of **** gets let go because everyone's so physical and it's all happening so fast.

That 94 cup was literally one of the top 5 moments of my life. My marriage is number 6.

a high stick that causes injury is rarely let go, since it leaves evidence.

if he did that on purpose then that's insanely stupid and deserves to be scratched.

Did anyone else think the penalty on Rupp that led to the tying goal was a questionable call?

No it was the right call. What's annoying about it is that a nearly identical play was made on Gaborik earlier in the game without a call.

The Rupp call was completely correct. What pissed me off about it was how god damn unaware Rupp was of Ward behind him. It's saw how clueless he was.

No, because I'd be dead from a heart attack or on life support in some hospital's ICU and in a coma.

One of the 5 best games I've ever been to. Loudest the Garden has been in overtime since Stephane Matteau.

The best part of all this? They edited that ****ing Verizon commercial and now I don't feel the impulse to hang myself every time it airs.

Ill say this, we should very much be looking into resigning Stralman after this year. He has been excellent for us, imo. He has had some gaffes here and there, but overall his game has been great for us.

I think that commercial is far less amusing now that you can actually understand what the two of them are saying. Now they just seem whiny instead of distraught.

Exactly. Everything changes everything...and if the correct call had been made on the stick in Gaborik's mid-section we would have had a lengthy 5-3 with a chance to go up by 2. Totally different game...but mysteriously missed. So I have no problem with the call on Rupp...it's automatic. But where was the call earlier???

Amusing? I hated that commercial. The editing they have done is nothing short of Nobel Peace Prize worthy.
