Franzen played 9:18 and Zetterberg played 8:39 in the third period. Landeskog, Stalberg played 3 minutes each. Lundqvist played 0:36. What's up with that? I'm all for active coaching, but we shouldn't roll our best guys, forwards no less, 22 minutes against Denmark..

We're better off with Bäckström and Johansson, hope the Rangers win it in six.

Both Johansson and Backstrom has been pretty meh this season. Steen has missed a big chunk with an injury. Hornqvist is just overrated to me. Perhaps Samuelsson can join now?

Have you seen Bäckström these last few games? He would be an upgrade over any forward on this team. Hörnqvist is not really that great, it would be stupid not to wait for Bäckström.

In a normal year, Hornqvist could have been a top line winger. This year isn't normal though, we are stacked.

Imo, if Ericsson can't come back, it should be Backstrom, Lindback and Grossmann (Ekholm in if the Flyers advance). If Washington wins it's Lundqvist, Stralman and Hornqvist. If Ericsson is back soon, Marts could invite Marcus Johansson rather than Grossmann.

Hornqvist will be perfect. He'll crash and bang a little and stand in his kitchen on the 2nd PP unit. Ericsson gets healthy and the last skater spot goes to Backstrom!

Franzen-Zetterberg-Eriksson
Hornqvist-Backstrom-Alfredsson
Silfverberg-Larsson-Jarnkrok
Landeskog-Kruger-Stalberg

The top 6 would look great, I would like to see Landeskog on the team though.

oops, edited now.

If Ericsson recovers soon this would be a winner. It would also make the decisions easier. But if Ericsson looks uncertain for the remainder of the tournament, it certainly complicates it a bit.

Forgot what we have and don't have there for a while.

And 3rd/4th line obviously interchangeable. Play the hottest hand more.

Markstrom is 1-2 in the AHL playoffs now(best of 5).. That could be something over Lindback who hasn't played for a while. Markan has been really good this season.

It was only the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs (AHL playoffs) that was best of five. From the second round on it's a best of seven-series. The earliest possible date that San Antonio can be eliminated is May 11.

Eddie Läck has better save percentage in the play-off and he single handedly won 2 of the 5 games the Chi Wolfs played. Further, he is out of the play-off. I would rather put my money on him.

Ouch, forget about it then.

Lack won the two games where Markstrom was up with Florida. Lost the other three vs Markstrom(or if Climie stood in one, don't remember). Anyway, I don't think Lack is better than Enroth right now even if he's been a steady AHL goalie.

You can scratch Lack for another reason aswell, http://swehockey.se/Startsidesnyhete...-lagetinforVM/

A goalie does not lose against another goalie, he loses against the opposing team. With the relative save percentage taken I would rather say that the Chicago Wolfs were the weaker team and that Läck was their strongest player. Anyway, as you pointed out, it is purely academic now.

Bäckström hasn't been bad, he's easily been one of the best players on the Capitals this playoff. Goals certainly don't come for free against neither Bruins nor the Rangers, two very solid defensive teams. This coming from a Rangers fan.

He would be a great addition to this team. Marcus Johansson is a great, skilled grinder, so he would be a great replacement on the 4th line.

What was Enroth's save percentage last night, 75%?

And Fasth looked terrible when he got the chance too.

We need a real goalie further down the line when we face teams that actually manage to shoot more than 15 shots per game.
